Purpose: This study sought to explore the need to develop a simulation practice program that can be used to give nursing students practical education for elderly care. Methods: This is a descriptive research study to investigate the need for theoretical education and the development of a simulation practice program for elderly care among nursing students. Results: Through this study, nursing students requested professional theoretical education related to elderly is-sues that have emerged as social issues. They also requested practical nursing education differentiating emergency care for the elderly, from that of other adults to enable them to respond better to the elderly with health problems. Conclusion: There was a limitation in that the students who participated were lacking in geriatric nursing practice or in-tegrated simulation practice class experience. Therefore, we recommend future research involving students who have ex-perience in geriatric nursing practice and integrated simulation practice classes targeting multiple nursing departments.
