수용자에서 생비자로, 청소년소설의 재매개 양상 연구 -북트레일러를 중심으로-

From Recipient to Prosumer: A Study on the Remediation Trends of Young Adult Novels -Focusing on Book Trailers -

이 연구는 청소년소설 북트레일러의 생산과 소비에 청소년 독자들이 어떻게 참여하고 있는가를 살펴봄으로써 청소년 독자의 문학 향유 주체로서의 가능성을 살피는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 청소년소설의 북트레일러는 디지털 시대의 재매개적 특성을 잘 보여주는 것으로, 생산 주체에 따라 크게 두 가지로 분류되는데, 첫 번째가 책을 홍보할 목적으로 출판사, 책큐레이션 채널에서 제작한 것이라면, 두 번째가 청소년들이 공모전 참여, 독후 활동 등을 위해 제작한 것이다. 분석 결과, 첫 번째 유형의 북트레일러에서는 청소년 독자들의 댓글을 통해 자발적, 비자발적으로 해당 도서를 읽은 청소년들이 적극적인 문학 향유자로 변모하고 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 이들이 북트레일러의 멀티모드성, 참여적 특성에 큰 관심을 보이고, 독서 동기를 얻고 있다는 점 역시 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 두 번째 유형의 북트레일러들을 통해서는 청소년들이 생산 주체가 되어 자신이 읽은 청소년소설을 참신하게 표현하고 있음을 살펴 보았다. 이들은 내용적, 외형적 측면에서 기존의 출판사가 제작한 북트레일러보다 다양한 이미지와 효과, 음악 등을 사용함으로써 개성이 강한 새로운 작품을 만들어 내고 있었다. 이 연구를 통해 청소년들이 역동적인 문학 문화의 장 안에서 상호적으로 영향을 주고받는 향유 주체이자 창작 주체로 성장할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며, 북트레일러의 문학 교육적 가능성을 타진해 볼 수 있었다.

This study explores the potential of adolescent readers to act as subjects of literary enjoyment, by examining how they participate in the production and consumption of book trailers. Book trailers for young adult novels illustrate the remedial characteristics of the digital age well, and are broadly classified into two types depending on the producer. The analysis revealed that in the first type of book trailers, through the comments of adolescent readers, it was evident that adolescents who read the respective books voluntarily or involuntarily transformed into active literary enthusiasts. They showed significant interest in the multimodal and participatory characteristics of the book trailers, confirming that they gained reading motivation through them. Through the second type of book trailers, it was observed that adolescents became producers themselves, creatively expressing the young adult novels they had read. They created unique works with diverse images, effects, and music, surpassing those produced by traditional publishers in terms of content and form. This study confirmed that adolescents can grow as prosumers and creators in a dynamic literary culture. Additionally, the educational potential of book trailers can be explored further.
