과업 수행 역량의 숙련퇴화 정도에 따른 직종 유형화 연구: 숙련퇴화 민감도 지수(SI)를 중심으로

A study on typology occupations of the degree to which task performance capabilities decline based on skill level

이 연구는 고령 근로자가 직무를 효과적으로 수행하는 데 필요한 능력의 중요성을 검증하고, 두 번째로 각 직업에 필수적인 특정 역량을 기반으로 숙련퇴화가 어떻게 나타나는지를 지수화하여 구명하고자 하였다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 이 연구에서는 O*NET 데이터를 활용하여 다음과 같은 연구 과정을 수행하였다. 첫째, Belbase 외(2015)가 제안한 SI(Susceptibility Index) 지수(숙련퇴화 민감도 지수)를 가중치를 고려하여 역량별로 다시 계산하였다. 둘째, 숙련퇴화 지수를 기준으로 잠재계층분석을 사용하여 직업을 분류하였다. 마지막으로 다양한 '역량 집단'에 걸친 특성을 조사하기 위해 집단 간 직업 특성의 차이를 구명하였다. 이 연구의 주요 결과로는 첫째, 숙련퇴화는 전체적인 역량이 감소하는 것이 아닌 개별적 역량군에 따라 상이한 감소 경향성을 보인다는 것이다. 또한 숙련퇴화 민감도 지수를 기반으로 직종을 분류한 결과, 화이트칼라와 블루칼라 이외에도 화이트칼라의 속성을 가지며 역량의 감소는 블루칼라와 유사한 직종이 하나의 집단을 구성하는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 통한 연구의 시사점은 역량을 기반으로 직종을 분류하여 기존의 전통적인 직종 분류에 더한 새로운 시각을 제시하였다는 데에 있다. 또한, 연구의 결과를 활용하여 역량 퇴화 및 조기 퇴직 예측에 관한 향후 연구에 크게 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

This study validates the significance of the abilities required by older workers to carry out their job responsibilities effectively, and secondly, offers a clearer understanding of how age-related declining manifests based on the specific abilities essential for each occupation. To achieve this objective, we utilized O*NET data and conducted the following research process. Firstly, the susceptibility index, SI, was recalibrated by taking into account the relative importance of different abilities. Secondly, occupations were categorized based on their SI index, thereby allowing for a comparison of job characteristics within the dataset. Lastly, the latent class analysis method was employed to examine the pattern of SI across various ‘ability groups.’ One of the crucial findings from this research is the necessity to comprehend the decline in abilities within specific ability groups, such as cognitive or sensory abilities. The study also identified distinct clusters, such as white-collar and blue-collar groups, and a group with white-collar attributes but exhibiting a somewhat similar level of decline as the blue-collar group. The implications of this study extend to the broader utilization of national data and its potential to contribute significantly to future research concerning the prediction of ability decline and early retirement.
