의과대학생의 역량 향상 지원을 위한 시기성과 평가기준 개발 및 교육요구도 분석: K 의과대학 사례

Educational Needs Analysis to Support Medical School Students’ Competency Improvement

본 연구는 역량기반 의학교육에서 의과대학생의 역량 향상을 지원하기 위하여 시기성과를 평가하는 기준을 개발하고, 교수와 학생의 교육요구도를 분석하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 교수와 학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하였으며, t 검정, Borich 요구도 분석, The Locus for Focus 분석 방법을 활용하여 평가기준의 적합도와 교육요구도를 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과는 첫째, 개발된 평가기준에 대한 교수와 학생의 적합도 인식은 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전체 응답자의 교육요구도를 분석한 결과 요구도가 가장 큰 1순위 항목은 교과목 이수, 의학연구 교과목 이수, 교과종합평가인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 교수와 학생으로 응답자를 구분하여 교육요구도를 분석한 결과 1순위 항목은 전체 응답자 분석 결과와 일치하였으나, 차순위 항목의 경우 교수는 연구활동과 성찰활동, 학생은 연구활동과 비교과 프로그램 이수인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 평가기준과 연계한 전체 교육과정 재설계의 필요성을 제시하고, 평가와 교육과정 운영에의 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 성과를 다면적으로 평가할 수 있는 평가기준을 개발하였고, 그 과정에서 교수와 학생의 요구도를 수렴하여 역량기반 교육과정의 내실화를 위한 방안을 모색하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

This study was conducted to develop standards for evaluating phase outcomes and to analyze the educational needs of professors and students in order to support the improvement of medical students' competencies in competency-based medical education. For this purpose, a survey was conducted targeting professors and students, and the suitability of evaluation criteria and educational needs were analyzed using t-test, Borich needs analysis, and The Locus for Focus analysis methods. The main results are as follows. First, professors' and students' perception of suitability for the developed evaluation criteria was found to be positive. Second, the items with the greatest demand were course completion, medical research course completion, and comprehensive curriculum evaluation. Third, as a result of analyzing respondents by dividing them into professors and students, professors responded that research activities and reflection activities were the second most important, and students responded that research activities and completing extracurricular programs were the second most important. Based on these results, this study presented the need for redesigning the entire curriculum in connection with evaluation standards and attempted to provide implications for evaluation and curriculum operation. This study is significant in that it developed evaluation criteria that can evaluate performance in a multifaceted manner, and in the process sought ways to support student capabilities by collecting the needs of professors and students.
