미술치료사의 미술작업 속 나와의 만남을 통한 자기이해 경험에 관한 존재론적 탐구

An Ontological Inquiry into the Experience of Self-Understanding through Encountering ‘Myself’ in the Artwork of an Art Therapist

본 연구는 타인 중심의 생활 방식과 존중받지 못한 자신의 감정에 대해 공감하고 자기이해로 이어지는 여정 에서 참자기를 찾아가는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구자는 슈퍼비전 과정에서 자기 감정이해의 부족함을 알 게 되었고 이에 자기이해를 통한 공감으로 참자기를 찾아가기 위해 던진 물음들을 해명하며 순전한 태도로 탐 구하기 위해 존재론적 탐구 방법으로 관조하였다. 이 연구를 위하여 2016년 10월부터 쓴 연구자의 저널, 일기, 그림, 그림 작업 동영상, 융 분석가의 그림분석 자료, 연구 일지 등을 토대로 2023년 7월부터 2024년 1월까지 탐 구를 시행하였다. 2023년 7월 1일부터 연구자가 그린 그림 중 100점을 1차 선정하고 총 3차의 선별과정을 통해 발취한 20점의 그림과 반응작업 그림 10점 및 추가 그림 5점 등 총 35점을 중심으로 그림과 마주하였다. 분석, 종합, 해체의 방법으로 해석한 결과 자기이해 경험의 주제는 ‘그림 - 분열된 조각들의 회우’, ‘마음의 빗장에 비 친 거울’, ‘그림 속 작은 아이’, ‘그림과 매체는 인생 곡선의 변곡점’이다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구 의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to empathize with other-centered lifestyle and unrespected feelings and find the true self in the journey leading to self-understanding. During the supervision process, this researcher became aware of lacking in understanding emotions and observed the ontological inquiry method to clarify the questions asked to find the true self through empathizing with self-understanding and to investigate with a pure attitude. This inquiry was conducted from July 2023 to January 2024 based on the researcher's journals, diaries, paintings, and video recordings of painting processe, data from a Jungian analyst’s analysis of paintings, and research notes produced and collected from October 2016. From July 1, 2023, 100 drawings drawn by the researcher were initially selected, and 35 drawings among them were selected, including 20 drawings through three selection processes, 10 reaction work drawings, and 5 additional drawings. Then, the researcher encountered these drawings. By interpreting through analysis, synthesis, and deconstruction processes, the experience themes of self-understanding were identified as ‘Paintings – the encounter of broken pieces,’ ‘A mirror reflected in the latch of the mind,’ ‘A little child in the painting,’ ‘Paintings and media are turning points of the curve of life.’ Based on these results, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.
