Arch Expansion Using Clear Aligners in Early Mixed Dentition Patients

As clear aligners gain widespread popularity in orthodontics, the age of application is progressively becoming earlier. This case report demonstrates the utilization of clear aligners for arch expansion in early mixed dentition patients, showcasing their effectiveness in achieving simultaneous expansion of dental arches and proper teeth alignment. In contrast to conventional expansion methods using jackscrews, various considerations regarding treatment planning, attachment use, and anchorage control were addressed. The findings highlight the potential of clear aligners for primary orthodontic treatment in mixed dentition and emphasize the importance of careful planning for successful outcomes.
