유아의 시그림책과 놀이 경험에 관한 사례연구

A Case Study on the Experience of Young Children's Poetry Picture Book

본 연구의 목적은 시그림책을 활용한 유아의 놀이 및 활동 경험은 어떠한지를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 사례연구를 실시하였다. 연구대상은 유치원의 만 5세 유아 35명과 담임교사 2명이었으며, 6주간 현장 자료수집이 이루어졌다. 자료수집은 시그림책과 관련된 유아의 놀이 및 활동 경험 사진, 동영상, 면담, 교육계획 및 평가, 유아의 놀이 및 활동 결과물 등을 통해 이루어졌으며, 수집된 자료는 연구 목적과 관련하여 의미 있는 주요 사례를 선정하고 연관성 있는 내용끼리 분류하여 범주화하였다. 연구결과, 시그림책과 관련된 유아의 놀이 및 활동 경험은 시그림책의 ‘소리’ 음미하기, 시그림책의 ‘이미지’ 연상하기, 시그림책의 ‘정서’ 나누기로 나타났다. 본 연구는 유아가 시그림책이라는 장르적 특성을 반영하여 시그림책을 감상하고 다양한 방식으로 즐기며 몰입하는 모습을 보여줌으로써 유아교육기관에서 시그림책을 활용한 놀이 및 활동에 대한 긍정적인 시각을 제시하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

This study aims to examine the experiences of children's play and activities using poetry picture books. A case study was conducted for this aim. The subjects of this study were 35 children aged 5 years old in kindergarten, two homeroom teachers, and field data collected over 6 weeks. Data was collected through photos of children's play and activity experiences related to poetry picture books, videos, interviews, educational plans and evaluations, and children's play and activity results, and the collected data was classified and categorized into meaningful cases related to the aim of the study. As a result of the study, children's play and activity experiences related to poetry picture books were found to appreciate 'sound' in poetry picture books, associate with 'image' in poetry picture books, and share 'emotions' in poetry picture books. This study suggests a positive perspective on play and activities using poetry picture books in early childhood education institutions. It shows that children appreciate, enjoy, and immerse themselves in various ways by reflecting the genre characteristics of poetry picture books.
