블렌디드 PBL을 적용한 수업이 예비유아교사의 의사소통능력, 문제해결능력, 자기주도 학습능력에 미치는 영향

The Impact of Blended PBL on Prospective Preschool Teachers' Communication Skills, Problem-Solving Abilities, and Self-Directed Learning Abilities

본 연구는 블렌디드 PBL을 적용한 교육심리 수업이 예비유아교사의 의사소통능력, 문제해결능력, 자기주도 학습능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 경기도 소재의 3년제 유아교육과 학생 45명을 대상으로 하였다. 블렌디드 PBL을 적용한 교육심리 수업은 비대면과 대면 수업을 혼합한 형태로 한 학기 15주 중 8주를 진행하였다. 측정도구는 의사소통능력, 문제해결능력, 자기주도 학습능력 검사를 사전, 사후로 실시하였다. 블렌디드 PBL 적용 수업이 의사소통능력, 문제해결능력, 자기주도 학습능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 대응표본 t검증을 실시하여 사전-사후 간 차이를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 블렌디드 PBL 적용 수업은 예비유아교사의 의사소통능력과 문제해결능력, 자기주도학습능력에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 이 결과에 대해 수업 외의 LMS나 SNS 활용이 관여한 것으로 보인다. 본 연구는 블렌디드 PBL 젹용 수업의 긍정적 효과를 입증하고, 비대면 수업 환경에서 학생들의 현장 대응 역량을 강화하는 수업방법임을 시사한다.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of a blended PBL (Problem-Based Learning) approach in an educational psychology course on the communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-directed learning capabilities of pre-service early childhood educators. The subjects of the study were 45 students from a three-year early childhood education program located in Gyeonggi Province. The educational psychology course utilizing the blended PBL approach was conducted over 8 weeks within a 15-week semester, combining both online and face-to-face sessions. Communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-directed learning capabilities were measured using pre- and post-tests. To analyze the differences between the pre- and post-tests, paired t-tests were conducted to assess the impact of the blended PBL approach on these competencies. The results indicated that the blended PBL approach had a positive effect on the communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-directed learning capabilities of pre-service early childhood educators. Additionally, the use of LMS (Learning Management Systems) and SNS (Social Networking Services) outside of class seemed to contribute to these results. This study demonstrates the positive effects of blended PBL instruction and suggests it as an effective method to enhance students' practical skills in a remote learning environment.
