영유아기 자녀를 둔 부모의 양육불안과 어머니 문지기 역할이 아버지 양육참여에 미치는 영향: 부모의 지각을 중심으로 APIMeM의 적용

The Effects of Parenting Anxiety and Maternal Gatekeeping on the Paternal Involvement of Couples with Preschoolers: Focus on Perceptions between Fathers and Mothers with APIMeM

연구목적: 본 연구는 만 1∼5세의 영유아기 자녀를 둔 부모의 양육불안과 아버지의 양육참여 간의 관계에서 어머니의 문지기 역할(문닫기, 문열기)에 대한 자기-상대방 상호의존성 매개모델(APIMeM)을 검증하고자 한다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 영유아기 자녀를 둔 부모를 대상으로 자료를 수집하기 위해 온라인 및 오프라인 설문을 실시하여, 최종적으로 총 190쌍의 커플자료를 구축하였다. 본 자료를 분석하기 위해 SPSS 27.0, MEDYAD 베타 V.1.1을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 아버지의 양육불안은 아내가 지각한 문열기를 매개로 부와 모가 지각한 아버지 양육참여에 영향을 미치는 자기효과와 상대방효과가 나타났고, 아버지의 양육불안은 어머니가 지각한 문닫기를 매개로 어머니가 지각한 아버지 양육참여에 영향을 미치는 상대방효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 양육불안은 아버지가 지각한 문열기를 매개로 부와 모가 지각한 아버지 양육참여에 영향을 미치는 상대방효과가 나타났고, 어머니의 양육불안은 자신이 지각한 문닫기를 매개로 자신이 지각한 아버지 양육참여에 영향을 미치는 자기효과가 나타났다. 결론: 부모의 양육불안과 부모가 인식한 어머니 문지기 역할과 아버지의 양육참여의 관계에서 부모의 상호 역동적 영향을 고려해야 함을 시사한다.

Objective: This study aimed to analyze the role of maternal gatekeeping in the actor-partner interdependence mediation model (APIMeM) in the relationship between parenting anxieties and paternal involvements, focusing on the perceptions of fathers and mothers. Methods: This study conducted online and offline surveys targeting fathers and mothers of preschoolers and utilized a total of 190 pairs in the final dataset. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and MEDYAD Beta V.1.1. Results: First, father’s parenting anxiety affected fathers’ and mothers’ perceived paternal involvement through mother-perceived gate opening. The partner effect revealed that, mother-perceived gate closing mediated the relationship between maternal anxiety and mother-perceived paternal involvement. Second, mothers’ parenting anxiety affected fathers’ and mothers’ perceived paternal involvement through father-perceived gate opening. Mothers’ perceived gate closing mediated the relationship between mothers’ parenting anxiety and perceived paternal involvement. Conclusions: This study is meaningful because it considers mutual dependence in couples in the relationship between parenting anxiety, paternal involvement, and maternal gatekeeping.
