시각장애인의 문화예술 향유를 위한 기술 기반 연구의 주제범위 문헌고찰

A Scoping Review on Technology-based Research for Cultural Arts Enjoyment by People with Visual Impairments

연구 목적: 본 연구는 시각장애인의 문화예술 향유를 위한 기술 기반 연구에 대한 주제범위 문헌고찰을 실시하였다. 이를 통해 문화예술 향유 접근성, 활용성, 몰입감, 그리고 혁신성 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고 향후 연구의 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구 방법: JBI의 가이드 라인과 PRISMA-ScR의 체크리스트를 준수하여 2007년부터 2023년까지 시각장애와 문화예술, 그리고 기술 관련 용어를 조합 검색 후 선정 기준에 부합하는 30편을 최종 선정하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과: 일반적 특성에서 2019년 이후에 출판된 문헌이 60% 이상인 것으로 나타났으며, 연구설계는 개발연구가 가장 높은 비중을 차지하였다. 반면, 연구 대상의 경우 주요 적용 대상군에 대한 명확한 기준을 제시하지 않은 문헌의 비율이 높았다. 사용된 기술에서 기술 구현 분야의 경우 감각적 경험, 이미지 인식, 네비게이션 등 다양한 기술이 사용된 것으로 확인되었다. 기술이 활용된 문화예술 장르로는 미술, 사진, 그리고 문학이 상대적으로 높은 비중을 차지하였고, 시각장애인의 문화예술 향유 방식은 생산보다는 관람에 집중되는 경향을 보였다. 결론: 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 시각장애인의 문화예술 향유를 위한 기술 기반 연구의 방향을 제시하였다.

Purpose: This scoping review study was conducted through a thematic literature review on technology-based research aimed at enhancing the cultural and artistic enjoyment of people with visual impairments. Through this, it aims to provide foundational data to improve accessibility, usability, immersion, and innovation in the enjoyment of culture and arts, and to propose directions for future research. Method: A combined search of terms was conducted related to people with visual impairments, culture and arts, and technology, among studies from 2007 to 2023 in accordance with the guidelines of JBI and the PRISMA-ScR checklist. After screening based on our inclusion criteria, we finally selected thirty studies that met our standards for analysis. Results: In the general characteristics of the research, it is found that over 60% of the selected studies published after 2019 primarily focus on developmental research. However, a significant proportion of these studies do not provide clear criteria for their target groups. Regarding the use of technology, various technologies such as sensory enhancement, image recognition, and navigation are identified, with a particular emphasis on enhancing sensory experiences for people with visual impairments. In cultural and artistic applications, while art, photography, and literature are prominently featured, it is observed that the enjoyment of people with visual impairments tends to be more focused on viewing and participating rather than creating. Conclusion: The purpose of this study is to propose directions for technology-based research aimed at enhancing the cultural and artistic enjoyment of people with visual impairments, based on these research findings.
