This study looked into the patterns of the synesthesia expression for the lexical category of the gustatory word 'Spiciness from the perspective of cognitive linguistics, employing the conceptual blending theory. Through the analysis of rich corpora data used in language usage, it constructed a comprehensive conceptual integration network that projects the input space (1) representing spiciness and the input space (2) representing touch, smell, hearing, and sight into generic space and blending space. Our bodily experiences of 'spiciness' extend not only to sensory domains such as touch, smell, hearing, and sight but also further into abstract sensory domains, presenting situations where moods, spirits, and passions intensify gradually, negative emotions or means, stimulating sounds or appearances, attitudes, and evaluations towards certain objects. When the word ‘spiciness’ co-occurs with vocabularies representing different tastes, various tastes and complex emotions are conveyed intricately and vividly.
