Romey 기법을 활용한 2015 개정 중학교 진로와 직업 교과서 ‘자기이해’단원 분석

Analysis of 'Self-understanding' chapter of the 2015 revised middle school Career & Occupation textbooks based on the Romey method

이 연구는 Romey 기법을 활용하여 2015 개정 중학교 진로와 직업 교과서 자기이해 단원의 내용을 분석하기 위해 분량 및 내용 배치, 출판사별 Romey 지수, 성취기준별 Romey 지수를 분석하였다. 분석 대상 교과서와 범위는 2015 개정 중학교 진로와 직업 교과서 20종 전체의 자기이해 단원으로 하였다. Romey 기법은 교과서를 분석함에 있어 본문, 그림 및 도표, 활동, 단원의 마무리에 있는 질문을 정량적으로 분석한 후 지수로 나타냄으로써 교과서가 탐구적인지 비탐구적인지를 판단한다. 본문 지수는 교과서 본문을 구성하는 문장의 비율을 통해 탐구적 경향성을 분석하였고, 그림 및 도표 지수는 교과서의 시각 자료들의 비율을 통해 탐구적 경향성을 분석하였다. 활동 지수는 교과서에서 학생이 직접 참여하거나 해결해야 하는 등의 학습 활동의 개수가 차지하는 비율을 통해 탐구적 경향성을 분석하였고, 단원의 마무리에 있는 질문 지수는 단원의 마무리에서 학생에게 하는 질문의 비율을 통해 탐구적 경향성을 분석하였다. 연구자는 2인의 전문가와 3인 협의를 통해 타당도 및 신뢰도를 확보하였다. 연구결과 및 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자기이해 단원은 평균 20.85쪽으로 나타났고, 전체 페이지 중 자기이해 단원이 차지하는 평균 비율은 11.49%로 나타났다. 자기이해 단원은 2개의 성취기준으로 구성되어 있으며, 성취기준에 따른 소단원의 구성은 각 출판사별 집필진에 따라 구성이 서로 상이하였다. 둘째, 자기이해 단원의 전체 본문 문장 수는 평균 42.8로 나타났고, 본문 지수의 평균은 0.47로 나타났다. 자기이해 단원의 전체 그림 및 도표 수는 평균 19.75로 나타났고, 그림 및 도표 지수의 평균은 2.77로 나타났다. 자기이해 단원의 전체 활동 수는 평균 10.55로 나타났고, 활동 지수의 평균은 0.49로 나타났다. 자기이해 단원의 마무리에 있는 전체 질문 수는 평균 8.15로 나타났고, 단원의 마무리에 있는 질문 지수의 평균은 2.48로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 2015 개정 중학교 진로와 직업 교과서 자기이해 단원의 내용이 전반적으로 탐구적 경향성을 보인다는 점을 시사한다.

Using Romey method, this study analyzed the volume and content arrangement, Romey rating of each publishers, and Romey rating by achievement standards to analyze the contents of Self-understanding chapter of the 2015 revised middle school Career & Occupation textbooks. The textbooks and scope of analysis were self-understanding chapter of all 20 types of the 2015 revised middle school Career & Occupation textbooks. In analyzing textbooks, the Romey method judges whether a textbook is exploratory or unexplored by analyzing the text, figures and diagrams, activities, and questions at chapter ends quantitatively. The text rating analyzed the exploratory tendency through the proportion of sentences constituting the textbook text, and the figures and diagrams rating analyzed the exploratory tendency through the proportion of textbook visual materials. The activities rating analyzed the exploratory tendency through the percentage of the number of learning activities which students have to participate or solve directly in the textbook and the rating of question in the end of the chapter analyzed the exploratory tendency through the ratio of questions to students at the end of the chapter. Researcher secured a validity and a reliability through consultation with two experts. Those are the results and conclusions of the research. First, the average of the self-understanding chapter was 20.85 pages, and the average percentage of self-understanding chapter among all pages was 11.49%. The self-understanding chapter is composed of two achievement standards, and the composition of the sub-chapters are various according to the authors of each publisher. Second, the total number of text sentences in the self-understanding chapter was averaged at 42.8, and the average of the text rating was 0.47. The average number of figures and diagrams in the self-understanding chapter was 19.75, and the average of figures and diagrams rating was 2.77. The average number of activities of the self-understanding chapter was 10.55, and the average of activities rating was 0.49. The total number of questions at the end of the self-understanding chapter was averaged 8.15, and the average of the question rating at the end of the chapter was 2.48. These findings suggest that the contents of the Self-understanding chapter of the 2015 revised middle school Career & Occupation textbooks present an overall exploratory tendency.
