디지털 혁신 기술의 관광분야에서의 실현·적용 가능성에 관한 미래예측 연구

A Study on Future Prospects of Realizing and Applying Digital Innovation Technologies in the Tourism Sector

이 연구는 디지털 혁신 기술들이 관광 산업 분야에 적용될 가능성이 있는 기술을 모색하여 그 전망을 예측하고자 하는 탐색적 연구이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 전문가 델파이 조사를 통해 중단기적 미래의 관광산업 분야에 유망할 것으로 전망되는 디지털 혁신 기술들을 도출하였다. 1차 전문가 델파이 조사를 통해 총 10개의 기술군을 도출한 후 2차 델파이를 통해 27개의 세부 혁신기술을 도출하였으며, 이 과정에서 각 기술군에 대한 법제도적 제약에 관해 전문가 토의를 거쳤다. 3차적으로는 보다 넓은 범위의 전문가들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 자료를 기반으로 관광분야 기술에 관한 정책적 우선순위를 파악하기 위하여 시장 수요성, 산업 영향력, 이슈 대응성, 기술 혁신성을 기준으로 IPA 분석을 시행하였다. 분석결과, 혁신성과 영향력, 혁신성과 수요성, 그리고 혁신성과 대응성의 쌍대성 기준이 모두 높은 기술군은 데이터 분석 고도화 기술, 빅데이터 기반 맞춤형 정보추천 기술, 생성형 AI 기반 실시간 정보제공 기술이 공통적으로 나타났으며, 이들 각 영역의 기준이 모두 낮은 기술군으로는 오감경험 확대 기술, 플랫폼 기반 기술, 자동화·로보틱스 기술, 취약계층 지원 기술이 공통적으로 도출되었다. 그러나 법제도적 환경 또는 제약에 의해 이들 기술의 발전 및 산업적 적용이 영향받을 수 있고, 사회취약계층을 지원하는 기술과 같이 우선순위가 낮은 기술들에 대하여는 중장기적인 전략이 요구된다. 본 연구는 관광분야에서 시도된 디지털 혁신 기술에 관한 미래예측 연구로서, 전문가 델파이와 법제도적 쟁점을 심층적으로 논의함으로써 보다 종합적인 미래예측을 시도한 점에서 의미를 가진다.

This exploratory study seeks to predict the prospects of exploring technologies that can be applied in the tourism industry in the context of digital innovation technologies being developed and distributed worldwide. To this end, this study conducted an expert Delphi survey. A total of 10 technology groups were identified through the first expert Delphi survey; 27 detailed technologies were identified through the second Delphi survey. Legal and institutional restrictions were discussed during each process. Thereafter, we conducted a survey targeting a wide range of experts. Using the survey data, IPAﾠwas conducted based on market demand, industry influence, issue responsiveness, and technological innovation to identify policy priorities regarding technology in the tourism sector. The analysis shows that technologies that are consistently high in influence-, demand-, and responsiveness- innovation dualities include data analytics, big data-based personalized information recommendation technologies, and generative AI-based real-time information provision technologies. However, their growth may be affected by institutional constraints and mid- to long-term strategies are required for low-priority technologies. This study is meaningful because it attempts to provide a more comprehensive prediction through expert Delphi and an in-depth discussion of legal and institutional issues.
