This research explored the stat e of multicultural music education in schools and identified various issues and their underlying causes. To address these issues, such as material and human foundations and content limitations, the study proposed a path for the advancement of multicultural music education in Korea and suggested using musical instrument museums as part of a practical approach. An inst ructional program for multicultural music education utilizing a musical instrument museum was developed and implemented for upper-grade elementary students, demonstrating its effectiveness through the measurement of changes i n students' multicultural acceptance. By taking this program as a reference, multiple museums that exhibit musical instruments from different cultures can establish and promote multicultural music education programs, which schools can actively incorporat e. This will lead to realizing the educational benefits of multicultural music and enriching music education.
