직업계열 고등학교 교사의 교육데이터 활용 현황과 요구 분석

A study on the educational data utilization and needs of vocational high school teachers

데이터의 수집, 축적과 분석을 가능하게 하는 기술이 발전하면서 증거기반 정책의 핵심으로 데이터의 활용이 강조되고 있다. 이 논문의 목적은 직업계고와 관련이 있는 데이터의 수집 현황을 파악하고, 직업계고 교사의 데이터 활용 현황과 요구를 분석하여, 미래의 교육데이터 구축을 위한 시사점을 제시하는 것이다. 이 논문의 주요연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직업계고 재학생과 졸업생을 포함한 데이터의 다수는 전체 고교생, 청년층 또는 자격 취득을 위한 응시자의 일부로 직업계고 학생을 포함하고 있었다. 특히 직업계고에서 비중이 가장 높은 특성화고를 모집단으로 하는 조사와 행정통계를 활용한 데이터가 부족한 편임을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 설문에 참여한 직업계고 교사들은 최근 2년 동안 데이터를 ‘연 1회 이상’(28.0%), ‘분기별 1회 이상 (26.1%), ‘전혀 없음’(23.3%) 등의 빈도로 활용하고 있었다. 교사들은 데이터를 ‘사업계획서 또는 결과보고서 작성’, ‘학생의 진로 상담 자료 제공’, ‘교육과정 개발 및 편성’ 등을 위해 활용하고 있었다. 교사들은 ‘직업계고 관련 데이터들을 연계하고 통합’하여 제공해 줄 것과 향후 ‘재학생의 관심 분야와 진로 계획’, ‘졸업생의 전공 유지율’, ‘지역별/전공별/산업단지별 고졸/전문대졸 인력 수급 전망 예측’ 등의 데이터를 이용할 수 있기를 희망하였다. 셋째, 교육데이터의 수요자로 직업계고 교사를 포함하여 교육데이터의 수집·공개와 연계, 행정데이터와 학습데이터의 활용, 빅데이터의 구축 등을 추진할 때 직업계고의 맥락을 고려할 필요가 있다.

As technology that enables data collection, accumulation and analysis develops, the use of data is being emphasized as the key of evidence-based policies. The purpose of this paper is to identify the current status of data collection related to vocational high school, analyze the current situation and needs of data usage by vocational high school teachers and suggest implications for future educational data construction. The main results of this paper are as follows. First, most of the collected data included vocational high school students and graduates as part of all high school students, young people or candidates for qualification. In particular, it was verified that data surveys using vocational high schools as parent population and linking administrative statistics and were insufficient. Second, vocational high school teachers who participated in this paper answered their data using frequency as ‘more than once a year'(28.0%), ’more than once a quarter’(26.1%), and ‘not at all'(23.3%). Teachers were using data for ‘writing a project plan or result report', ‘providing career counseling for students' and ‘developing and organizing a curriculum'. Teachers hoped to ‘link and integrate vocational high school-related data’ and data such as ‘students' interests and career plans’, ‘graduates' major retention rate’ and ‘predicting the supply and demand of high school graduates/college graduates by region/major/industrial field’ to be offered in the future,. Third, it is necessary to include vocational high school teachers to consider the context of vocational high school when promoting the collection and release of educational data, the use of administrative and learning data and the establishment of big data.
