대학 입학전형 평가 요소와 핵심역량 지표의 관계 분석

Exploring the Relationship Between Admission Criteria and Core Competency Indicators

본 연구는 대학에서의 주요 교육성과 지표인 핵심역량과 입학전형 평가 요소와의 관계 및 영향력 분석을 통해 입학전형 평가 요소의 타당도를 검증하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 수도권에 위치한 K 대학 최근 3개 학년도(2020-2022)에 걸쳐 학생부위주 전형 입학생의 전형 자료 및 핵심역량 진단 결과를 활용하여 핵심역량에 대한 입학전형별 평가 요소의 영향력을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 학생부위주 세 가지 전형 중 교과 전형의 평가 요소 중 고등학교 국어와 수학 성적이 대학에서의 핵심역량에 부적 영향력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 서류평가 요소 중에는 학업역량, 도전정신, 자기주도성, 성실성이 대학생의 핵심역량에 유의한 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 면접평가 요소는 핵심역량과 유의미한 관련성이나 영향력을 갖지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 대학의 주요 교육성과 지표인 핵심역량과 입학전형 평가 요소의 관계 분석 및 타당도 검증에 대한 실증적 사례를 제시하고, 대학의 입학전형 설계 및 평가 대학생의 역량 강화를 위한 교육적 시사점을 도출하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

This study aimed to explore evaluation criteria in admission process that affect key competencies by admission type. To achieve the objectives of this study, data from the admission process for the past three academic years (2020-2022) at University K, located in the metropolitan area, were collected. The collected data included admission records and measurements of key competencies, which were utilized to analyze the impact of admission criteria on key competencies across different admission types. The results indicate that high school grades in Korean and mathematics were analyzed to have an adverse impact on core competencies at the university level. Among the evaluation components of the document-centric admissions process, academic competency, spirit of challenge, self-directedness, and diligence were significant factors influencing competencies. This study provides an empirical case for the analysis of the relationship between core competencies and admission criteria, as well as the demonstration of their predictive validity. It holds significance by providing educational insights for designing university admission criteria and improving students' competencies through evaluations.
