지역아동센터 사회복지사의 직무경험에 관한 질적연구

A Qualitative Study on the Job Experience of Social Workers in Local Child Center

본 연구는 지역아동센터 사회복지사의 직무 경험을 내부자 관점에서 그 내용과 의미를 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구 질문은 “지역아동센터에서 일하는 사회복지사의 직무경험은 어떠한가?”로, 서울과 경기도의 지역아동센터에서 1년 이상 근무하고 있는 사회복지사 7명을 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 1:1 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였고, Giorgi의 현상학적 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 90개의 의미단위, 20개의 하위구성요소, 6개의 구성요소로 도출되었다. 최종 도출된 구성요소는 ‘아이들을 좋아하고 누군가를 돕고 싶은 마음에 이 길로 들어섬’, ‘아이들을 돌보는 일 이상의 전천후 역할을 수행함’, ‘지역아동센터를 꾸려가며 마주친 어려움’, ‘직무수행과정에서 만족과 행복감을 경험함’, ‘지역아동센터의 개선과 사회복지사로서의 성장을 기대함’, ‘지역아동센터와 더불어 성장하기를 희망함’이었다. 연구결과를 기반으로 변화하는 공적 돌봄 서비스체계 안에서 일하는 지역아동센터 사회복지사의 직무경험과 의미를 조명하고 일자리 질의 개선을 위해 논의하고 제언하였다.

This study explores the job experiences of social workers at local children’s centers from an insider’s perspective. In-depth one-on-one interviews were conducted with seven social workers who had been employed at local children’s centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province for over a year. The interviews were analyzed using Giorgi’s phenomenological method. The analysis revealed 90 meaning units, 20 subcomponents, and 6 components. The final components derived were: “Entered this field with a desire to help others and a fondness for children,” “Performing an all-round role beyond just caring for children,” “Facing difficulties while managing the local children’s center,” “Experiencing satisfaction and happiness in the process of job performance,” “Expecting improvement of the local children’s center and personal growth as a social worker,” and “Hoping to grow together with the local children’s center.” Based on the results, this study highlights the role and significance of social workers at local children’s centers within the changing public care service system and discusses and suggests improvements in job quality.
