해외 교육봉사에서 나타나는 코티칭 사례

Cases of Coteaching during Overseas Educational Volunteer Activity

예비 교사가 해외에 나가 교육봉사를 할 때 3~4명이 한 조가 되어 같이 수업한다. 여러 사람이 함께 수업을 준비하고 실행하고 평가하는 것을 코티칭이라 하며, 이 연구는 교육봉사활동 코티칭에서 예비 교사가 상호 배움의 기회를 얻는 내용을 인지적, 정의적 영역에서 탐색한다. 충북대학교 교육봉사단원이 쓴 보고서와 평가회 기록, 단장의 일지를 분석하여 코티칭 사례를 정리하였다. 코티칭의 인지적 사례에는 협동 작업, 언어 도움, 수업 진행 도움, 즉각 수업 개선, 학생 통제, 팀워크, 교직관 교류 등이 있다. 코티칭의 정의적 긍정적 사례에는 안심, 고마움, 상호 격려, 자신감의 공유, 수업 열정 배움, 수업 자신감, 동료나 학생들과 정듬 등이 있다. 그리고 정의적 부정적 사례에는 책임감의 분산, 충분히 돕지 못하는 미안함, 본인 수업과 비교하며 좌절, 자신의 부족함에 대한 반성 등이 있다. 이 연구를 통해 다른 사람의 수업을 이야기할 때 논리적이고 딱딱한 인지적 피드백과 함께 감정적이고 부드러운 정의적 피드백도 함께 고려해야 함을 알 수 있다.

When pre-service teachers participate in foreign educational volunteer activities, they form groups of three or four people and teach together. Co-teaching involves several people preparing, executing, and evaluating classes together. This study explores the opportunities for pre-service teachers to learn from each other through cognitive and affective co-teaching during educational volunteer activities. Co-teaching cases were summarized by analyzing reports written by Chungbuk National University education volunteer members, evaluation meeting records, and the leader's diary. Cognitive examples of co-teaching include collaborative work, language assistance, classroom assistance, immediate classroom improvement, student control, teamwork, and teacher interaction. Positive affective examples of co-teaching include reassurance, gratitude, mutual encouragement, sharing confidence, learning enthusiasm in class, confidence in class, and bonding with colleagues and students. Negative affective examples include dispersion of responsibility, feeling sorry for not being able to help sufficiently, frustration when comparing one's own class to others. and reflection on one's own shortcomings. Through this study, we can see that when discussing other people's classes, emotional and soft affective feedback should be considered along with logical and hard cognitive feedback.
