영아반교사의 전문성 증진을 위한 기록작업에 관한 연구 -일상생활을 중심으로-

A study on the documentation for promoting professionalism of infant class teachers -focusing on the daily life-

본 연구는 영아반교사의 전문성 증진을 위한 ‘기록작업’에 관한 연구이다. 영아의 일상생활을 기록한 교사의 저널과 관찰일지 등을 분석하여 기록작업과 연계된 교사의 전문성을 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 위해 2021년 3월부터 2023년 12월까지 국공립어린이집 영아반 일상생활 관련 기록작업을 수집하였다. 질적연구방법을 적용한 연구결과에서 ‘들여다보게’ 이끄는 기록, ‘고민’과 ‘성찰’을 일깨우는 기록, 공감과 지원으로 ‘기록 이어가기’로 범주화되었다. 영아반교사는 기록작업을 통해 일상생활 지원에서 갖는 고민을 영아의 관점으로 다시 바라보면서 공감생성으로 해결해나갔다. 영아의 어린이집 부적응 상황을 공감과 기다림으로 바라보는 경험은 바라보고 기다려주게 이끄는 기록작업이 있었기에 가능했다. 연구에 참여한 교사는 기록작업을 되돌아보면서 자신이 가졌던 고정관념을 발견하게 되었고, 영아반교사의 전문성인 정서적 돌봄을 경험하게 되었다. 원장은 기록작업을 되돌아보면서 영아의 일상생활지원은 영아를 존중하고 격려하려는 교사의 자질이 전문성과 관련되어 있음을 인지하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 기록작업은 영아반교사의 전문성을 이끄는 중요한 교육적 행위임을 보여주었다는 것에 의의가 있겠다.

This study is about ‘documentation’ for promoting professionalism of infant class teachers. This study examined professionalism of teachers connected to documentation by analyzing journals and observation log prepared by teachers that documented daily life of infants. For the foregoing research, this study collected documentation in regards to daily life of infant classes of national and public day care centers from March through December 2023. A method of qualitative research was applied and the result was categorized as record that leads to ‘observe’, record that arouses ‘concern’ and ‘introspection’ and ‘keeping documentation’ through sympathy and support. Infant class teachers solve concerns about support for daily life by y taking another look at from the infants’ point of view and forming a bond of sympathy through documentation. Experience that observes maladjustment of infants to daycare centers with sympathy and wait was indebted to documentation that leads teachers to observe and wait. Teachers who participated in the research were able to discover one’s fixed idea by looking back on the documentation and experienced emotional care that is professionalism of infant class teachers. Examining the documentation, directors acknowledged that support for daily life of infants and qualification of teachers to respect and encourage infants is related to professionalism. This study is considered significant as it proves that documentation is an important educational behavior that leads professionalism of infant class teachers.
