하악 좌측 제2대구치 수평 매복 및 하악 좌측 제2소구치 결손을 동반한 환자의 치험례

Orthodontic Treatment of a Patient with Horizontal Impaction of Mandibular Left Second Molar and Missing of Mandibular Left Second Premolar

A 17-year-old male patient presented with congenital missing of mandibular left second premolar and retained mandibular left primary second molar, and horizontal impaction of the mandibular left second molar. The patient showed lip protrusion, so all remaining second premolars including the retained mandibular left primary second molar were extracted. And then orthodontic traction of the horizontally impacted mandibular left second molar and retraction of the anterior were performed. After orthodontic treatment, the patient showed proper occlusion and improved profile. And the treatment results were well maintained without an evident relapse.
