The purpose of this study is to develop emotional education cards based on attachment situations as a new therapeutic tool to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) regulate their emotions. This tool aims to activate and promote changes in the emotional processes of ASD children's attachment narratives, providing opportunities to re-experience attachment and re-establish bonds with caregivers, thereby improving emotional regulation. Additionally, the study seeks to assist therapists working with ASD children in clinical settings to address issues related to emotional regulation. To achieve this, the attachment and emotional development of children with ASD were examined, along with a review of attachment-based therapy. This study attempted to modify the emotional process of attachment narratives, one of the four key components of the attachment-based emotional regulation program by Koback et al. (2015), by developing a visual tool based on attachment situations. Through this tool, ASD children were encouraged to recognize and express their emotions within their attachment relationships with caregivers, enhancing emotional interaction and re-experiencing attachment to support emotional regulation. The study also explored the development process, the underlying principles, and the content of the emotional education card tool based on attachment situations.
