This paper focuses on the structure ‘白+X’ that appears in Ming and Qing dynasty novels, constructing a conceptual integration network and examining its meaning composition. As a result of text analysis, it was found that metonymy and metaphor were actively applied to the modifier and head of ‘白+X’, which can be divided into three types. The first type is the meaning structure where metonymy is applied, represented by [meto白]+X, [meto白]+[metoX], meto[白+X]. The second type is the meaning structure where metaphor is applied, represented by [meta白]+X, [meta白]+[metaX], meta[白+X]. The third type is the dual structure where both metonymy and metaphor are applied, represented by [meta白]+[metoX]. The structure ‘白+X’ primarily functions as an object or a qualifier in sentences, conveying information by conceptualizing familiar forms to the recipient. Its blended meaning maximizes the pragmatic effects of euphemism and emphasis.
