Influenced by the trend of magic realism in Latin America, Moyan created his own unique literary space, Gaomi Dongbeihyang. Gaomi Dongbeihyang, which was also Moyan's real hometown, is a rural space that contains Moyan's feelings of distant and affection. This paper attempts to analyze the meaning of this literary space, Gaomi Dongbeihyang. First of all, we pay attention to the fact that the Gaomi Dongbeihyang is a space of utopia. Next, it analyzes that the narrator “I” in his hometown, Gaomi Dongbeihyang, is the land of return to his hometown, returning from the city to find his identity. Finally, we examine that the hometown, Gaomi Dongbeihyang, is a living and breathing space for the prototype of a hero character reflecting the collective unconsciousness. The analysis of the hometown land of Moyan's works focuses on 《The Red Sorghum Family》 and 《The Grass Eating Family》, which show the return to hometown well among Moyan's novels.
