어린이집 운영에 대한 원장의 인식 연구

A Director's Perception of a Daycare Center Operation

본 연구는 Q방법론을 활용하여 어린이집 운영에 대하여 원장이 어떠한 인식을 가지고 있는지 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 연구문제 1. 어린이집 운영에 대한 원장의 인식 유형은 어떠한가? 연구문제 2. 어린이집 운영에 대한 원장의 인식 유형에 따른 특성은 어떠한가?를 설정하고 Q방법론의 연구절차에 따라 Q모집단을 구성한 후 최종 33개의 Q진술문을 추출하였다. 또한 어린이집 원장 38명을 P샘플로 선정하고 33개의 진술문을 Q분류하여 자료를 수집한 후 PC Quanl 프로그램을 활용하여 주요인분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 어린이집 운영에 대하여 원장의 인식은 3개의 유형으로 분류되었으며, 유형별 특성을 분석하여 제1유형은 ‘어린이집 운영에 대한 정책과 제도 변화 추구형’, 제2유형은 ‘어린이집 운영에 대한 교육 및 교사 질적 변화 추구형’, 제3유형은 ‘어린이집 운영에 대한 회의적 인식 및 체념형’으로 명명하였다. 본 연구는 어린이집 운영에 대한 원장의 인식을 파악하여 어린이집 운영에 필요한 보육정책 제안 및 개선 방안 모색의 기초 자료로 활용될 것을 기대할 수 있다.

This study aims to analyze the director's perception of a daycare center operation using Q methodology. The research questions in this study are ‘What is the director's perception of the daycare center?’ and ‘What are the characteristics of the director's perception of the daycare center?’ The two research questions and Q population were formed according to the research procedure of Q methodology, and the final 33 Q statements were extracted. In addition, 38 directors of daycare centers were selected as P samples, 33 statements were Q-classified, data were collected, and major factor analysis was performed using the PC Quanl program. As a result, the director's perception of the operation of the daycare center was classified into three types, and the characteristics of each type were analyzed. The first type was named as 'the type of pursuing policy and system change in the operation of the daycare center'. The second type was named as 'the type of pursuing changes in the quality of education and teachers on the operation of the daycare center'. The third type was named as 'the type of skepticism and resignation on the operation of the daycare center'. This study can be used as basic data to identify the director's perception of the operation of daycare centers, to propose childcare policies necessary for the operation of daycare centers, and to seek improvement measures.
