중년 부부의 배우자 지지제공과 지지받기가 결혼만족에 미치는 영향: 자기-상대방 상호의존모형(APIM)

The Spousal Support Effect on Marital Satisfaction in Middle-Aged Couples: Actor-Partner Interdependence Model

본 연구의 목적은 중년기 부부의 배우자 지지제공과 지지받기가 결혼만족에 미치는 영향을 자기-상대방 상호의존모형(APIM)을 통해 검증하는데 있다. 본 연구의 자료는 온라인 설문조사를 통해 수집하였으며, 40세부터 60세까지 결혼을 유지하고 있는 중년기 부부 223쌍을 대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0을 사용하여 기술통계 및 상관분석을 실시하였고, AMOS 23.0을 사용하여 구조방정식 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중년기 부부의 배우자 지지받기의 결혼 만족에 대한 자기효과는 부부 모두 정적으로 유의하였으나 상대방효과는 아내의 경우만 정적으로 유의하였다. 둘째, 중년기 부부의 배우자 지지제공의 결혼만족에 대한 자기효과는 아내의 경우만 부적으로 유의한 반면 상대방 효과는 부부 모두 부적으로 유의하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 중년기 부부 상담에 대한 시사점과 한계점, 그리고 추후연구에 대한 제언을 논의하였다.

Objectives: This study aimed to verify the effect of spousal support on marital satisfaction in middle-aged couples using the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (APIM). Methods: For this purpose, 223 couples aged 40-60 nationwide participated in the study. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were performed using SPSS 23.0, and structural equation modeling analysis was performed using Amos 23.0. Results: The findings of the study are as follows. First, while receiving spousal support had a positive effect on marital satisfaction for both husbands and wives among the middle-aged couples, the partner effect was significant only for wives. Second, giving spousal support had a negative effect on marital satisfaction for wives, and the partner effect was significant for both husbands and wives among the middle-aged couples. Conclusions: In conclusion, the more they perceived receiving spousal support, the higher the marital satisfaction. Also, the more they perceived giving spousal support, the lower their spouses’ marital satisfaction. Implications and limitations of this study were discussed, and suggestions for further studies were recommended.
