대학생 자녀가 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제와 대인관계 문제의 관계: 사회 부과적 완벽주의와 자기 자비의 순차 매개효과

Relationship Between Parental Psychological Control and Interpersonal Problems Perceived by College-aged Children: Sequential Mediating Effect of Socially-imposed Perfectionism and Self-Compassion

본 연구는 부모의 심리적 통제가 대학생의 대인관계 문제의 관계에서, 사회 부과적 완벽주의와 자기 자비의 순차 매개효과를 검증하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울 및 수도권에 소재하는 남녀 대학생 320명을 연구 대상으로 온라인 자기 보고식 설문을 수행하여 IBM SPSS Statistics Version 26과 PROCESS Macro Version 4.2 for SPSS를 활용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상관분석 결과 부모의 심리적 통제와 대인관계 문제, 사회 부과적 완벽주의 사이에 유의한 정적 상관관계가 나타났고 각 세 변인과 자기 자비 사이는 유의한 부적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제와 대인관계 문제 간의 관계에서 사회 부과적 완벽주의와 자기 자비의 순차적 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 부모의 심리적 통제가 대학생의 사회 부과적 완벽주의를 높게 하고 이로 인해 낮아진 자기 자비가 대인관계 문제를 더 심화시킨다는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구를 바탕으로 대인관계에서 문제를 경험하는 대학생들을 위한 부모 양육 코치, 가족상담 및 상담 개입에 있어 기초자료로 사용될 수 있는 시사점을 도출하였다.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine the sequential mediating effects of socially prescribed perfectionism and self-compassion on the relationship between parental psychological control and interpersonal problems among college students. Methods: To achieve this, an online self-report survey was conducted with 320 male and female college students from universities located in Seoul and the surrounding metropolitan area. The data were analyzed using SPSS 26 and PROCESS Macro 4.2 for SPSS. Results: The main findings of this study are as follows. First, correlation analysis revealed significant positive correlations between parental psychological control, interpersonal problems, and socially prescribed perfectionism; while significant negative correlations were found between these three variables and self-compassion. Second, the sequential mediating effects of socially prescribed perfectionism and self-compassion on the relationship between parental psychological control and interpersonal problems, as perceived by college students, were found to be significant. Conclusions: The study suggests implications for parental coaching, family counseling, and intervention strategies aimed at addressing interpersonal issues among college students.
