어린이집 교사가 인식한 디지털 역량의 중요도-실행도 분석

IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) on the digital competency of childcare teacher

본 연구는 어린이집 교사가 인식하는 디지털 역량의 중요도와 자신의 역량에 대한 평가, 즉 실행도를 비교하여 분석하는 IPA(Importance Performance Analysis)를 통해 영유아교사의 디지털 역량 강화를 위한 교육⋅연수의 내용에 관한 시사점을 얻는 데 목적을 두었다. 어린이집 교사 397명의 조사자료를 분석한 결과, 응답자들은 디지털 역량의 중요도에 비해 자신의 역량(실행도)을 상대적으로 낮게 인식하는 것으로 확인되었다. 그리고 어린이집 교사의 디지털 역량을 함양하기 위해서는 영유아의 교수학습을 위한 디지털콘텐츠의 제작, 영유아에게 적합한 디지털 환경 조성, SNS 정보 관리, 디지털 자료 수집 및 분석에 관한 내용이 교육⋅연수에 포함되어야 할 시급한 과제임을 알 수 있었다. 점진적으로 개선이 필요한 과제로는 디지털 콘텐츠의 제작에 대한 긍정적 태도와 콘텐츠 활용 및 재구성, 영유아에게 적합한 가상/증강현실 콘텐츠에 대한 평가, 온라인 소통 플랫폼 활용 기술, 디지털 저작물 및 소통의 윤리 의식, 디지털 사회 변화에 대한 이해 및 디지털 역량 함양 노력이 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로, 향후 영유아교사의 디지털 교육⋅연수 프로그램을 구성 및 운영 시 어린이집 교사의 디지털 역량의 현황과 요구가 구체적으로 반영되어야 함을 제안하였다.

This study aimed to explore the contents for the education and training to enhance the digital competencies of childcare teachers through Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), which compares the importance of digital competencies perceived by childcare teachers with their own evaluation of their competencies, i.e., the level of performance. As a result of analyzing the survey data of 397 childcare teachers, it was confirmed that the respondents perceived their own competencies (performance) as relatively low compared to the importance of digital competencies. In addition, it was found that in order to foster the digital competencies of childcare teachers, it is an urgent task to include in education and training the production of digital content for teaching and learning of young children, the creation of a digital environment suitable for young children, the management of SNS information, and the collection and analysis of digital data. Tasks that require gradual improvement include a positive attitude toward the production of digital content, the utilization and reconstruction of digital content, the evaluation of virtual/augmented reality content suitable for young children, the use of online communication platforms, the ethical awareness of digital works and communication, the understanding of changes in the digital society, and efforts to foster digital competencies. Finally, it was suggested that the current status and needs of digital competencies of childcare teachers should be specifically reflected when organizing and operating digital education and training programs for the teachers.
