유아교사가 경험한 유･초 이음교육: 부산시 유･초연계 이음학기 시범유치원을 중심으로

Connected education between kindergarten and elementary school according to early childhood teacher : Focusing on Busan City's pilot kindergartens

연구목적: 유･초연계 이음학기 시범유치원을 운영하는 유아교사를 대상으로 유･초 이음교육의 경험이 어떠한지 알아봄으로써, 유･초 이음교육의 안정적 정착을 위한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 연구방법: 부산광역시교육청에서 추진하는 유･초연계 이음학기 시범유치원 사업에 선정되어 유･초 이음교육을 실행하고 있는 유아교사 10명을 대상으로 포커스그룹면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 유아교사가 경험한 유･초 이음교육의 실제는 ‘유아와 초등학생에게 성장의 기회를 주는 유･초 이음교육’, ‘근무기관의 유형에 따라 달라지는 유･초 이음교육’, ‘학부모의 불안감을 신뢰감으로 바꾸는 유･초 이음교육’으로 나타났다. 그리고 유아교사가 바라는 유･초 이음교육의 방향은 ‘행･재정이 양방향으로 이루어지는 유･초 이음교육’, ‘기관 대 기관으로 연결되는 유･초 이음교육’, ‘예비교사 양성과정부터 출발하는 유･초 이음교육’으로 드러났다. 결론 및 제언: 이를 통해 교육구성원 차원에서 유아교사와 초등교사, 그리고 학부모가 긴밀하게 소통하고, 교육기관 차원에서 교육청이 양 기관을 이어주는 허브 역할을 제공하며, 지역사회 차원에서 유･초 이음교육의 기초를 다지는 대학 양성과정이 필요하다고 제안하였다.

Purpose: The purpose was to provide implications by examining the experiences of connected education kindergarten and elementary school among early childhood teachers who participated in pilot kindergartens linking kindergarten and elementary school. Method: Focus group interviews were conducted with 10 early childhood teachers from pilot kindergarten in Busan City. Results: Early childhood teachers responded connected education that helps infants and children grow’, ‘connected education that varies depending on the type of institution they work in’, and ‘connected education that gives parents confidence’. And they proposed ‘connected education in which administration and finance are two-way’, ‘connected education centered on institutions’, and ‘connected education prepared in the pre-service teacher training course’. Conclusion: This study suggested that early childhood teachers should actively communicate with elementary school teachers, that the Office of Education should act as a hub connecting the two institutions, and that university teacher training courses should help to develop practical capabilities for connected education.
