국제적 어린이 도서상과 문화막시즘

International Children’s Book Awards and Cultural Marxism

어린이 도서상을 수상한 그림책은 보편적으로 어린이에게 교육적으로 유익한 작품으로 인정된다. 그러나 다수의 수상작은 다양성과 인권으로 포장된 헤게모니적 이데올로기를 담고 있다. 문화막시즘의 헤게모니 아젠다는 다문화주의, 젠더 이데올로기, 생태주의이며 이는 기존가치의 전복을 도모한다. 이 아젠다의 목표는 ‘신세계 질서’의 주도이며 21세기 세계화의 패권을 가지는 것이다. 본 연구는 국제적 위상을 가진 어린이 도서상 7개의 최근 25종 그림책에 나타난 헤게모니 아젠다를 분석했다. 그 결과 다문화주의가 재현된 그림책은 6종이며 피억압자 주인공을 유색인(아시아, 아프리카), 성소수자, 원주민, 어린이로 하며 억압자 백인이 가하는 피해를 담았다. 젠더 이데올로기가 재현된 그림책은 9종으로 다양한 가족을 강조하며 가족, 인격과 성에 대해 기존 가치체계를 부정하는 내용이다. 생태주의가 재현된 그림책은 9종으로 세상의 무가치를 강조하는 허무주의와 생태에 기반한 영지주의 특성을 보인다. 신세계 질서를 표현한 그림책은 1종으로 나약한 인간과 디스토피아 세상을 강조한다. 본 연구의 의의는 국제적 어린이 도서상의 선정기준이 문화막시즘에 경도되었으며, 이데올로기를 주입하는 교훈, 설득의 의도를 함축한다는 시사점을 제공한다.

Picture books that have won the Children's Book Award are universally recognized as beneficial works for children. However, several award-winning works contain a hegemonic ideology wrapped in diversity and human rights. The hegemony agenda of cultural Marxism is multiculturalism, gender ideology, and ecology, which seeks to overthrow existing values. This agenda aims to lead the 'New World Order' and to have hegemony in globalization in the 21st century. This study analyzed the hegemony agenda that appeared in the latest 25 picture books of 7 children's books of international status. As a result, six picture books were identified that depict multiculturalism, featuring oppressed protagonists such as people of color (Asian, African), LGBTQ individuals, Indigenous peoples, and children. These books portray the harm inflicted by white oppressors. Nine picture books were identified that depict gender ideology, emphasizing diverse family structures and content that challenges traditional values regarding family, identity, and sexuality. Nine picture books were identified that depict ecologism, highlighting a nihilistic view that emphasizes the world’s worthlessness and features elements of eco-based Gnosticism. One picture book was identified that describes the New World Order, emphasizing weak human beings and a dystopian world. The significance of this study suggests that the selection criteria for international children's books are oriented to cultural Marsism, and imply ideological lessons and persuasion intentions.
