국악 교육에서의 PBL 모형을 적용한 메타버스 국악공연 제작연구

Research on the Production of Metaverse Korean Traditional Music Performances Applying the PBL Model in Korean Traditional Music Education

본 연구는 국악 교육에서 PBL(Problem-Based Learning) 모형을 적용하여 메타버스 국악공연을 기획·제작하는 과정을 통해 학습자들이 자기 주도적으로 문제를 해결하는 능력을 개발하고, 메타버스 국악공연 제작의 새로운 가능성을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위한 PBL 교수-학습 과정은 문제 만나기, 문제 해결을 위한 계획 세우기, 탐색 및 재탐색하기, 해결책 고안하기, 발표 및 평가하기의 5단계로 구성하였다. 학습자들은 국악공연을 기획하고 제작하는 과정을 통해 스스로 문제를 해결하도록 하였고, 메타버스 플랫폼 '이프랜드'를 활용하여 자신들이 제작한 국악공연을 실제로 진행하였다. 연구결과, PBL 모형을 적용한 메타버스 국악공연 제작은 학습자들의 자기 주도적 학습 역량과 협동학습 능력을 크게 향상시켰으며, 메타버스 환경에서의 국악 교육의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 PBL 모형을 적용한 메타버스 국악공연 제작이 국악 교육의 현대화와 교육 방법론의 발전에 기여할 수 있음을 시사하며, 향후 국악 교육에서 디지털 플랫폼의 활용을 확대할 필요성을 제안한다.

This study aimed to develop students' self-directed problem-solving abilities and explore new possibilities for producing Korean traditional music performances in the metaverse by applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in Korean traditional music education. The PBL teaching-learning process was structured into five stages: encountering the problem, planning for problem-solving, exploring and re-exploring, devising solutions, and presenting and evaluating. Through the process of planning and producing a Korean traditional music performance, students were encouraged to solve problems independently, and they carried out the performances they created using the metaverse platform 'ifland.' The results of the study showed that the production of metaverse Korean traditional music performances, using the PBL model, significantly improved students' self-directed learning abilities and collaborative learning skills. Furthermore, it confirmed the potential of Korean traditional music education within the metaverse environment. This study suggests that the application of the PBL model to the production of metaverse Korean traditional music performances can contribute to the modernization of Korean traditional music education and the advancement of educational methodologies. It also emphasizes the need to expand the use of digital platforms in Korean traditional music education in the future.
