Financial Performance and Impact of Investment in R&D of High-tech Materials, Components, and Equipment Companies

본 연구는 국내 첨단 소재‧부품‧장비기업을 대상으로 연구개발 투자 확대가 해당 기업의 재무적 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석했다. 연구개발 투자의 확대가 수익성에는 부정적인 영향을 미쳤으나 매출총이익에는 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구개발 투자 규모와 수익성 간에는 양(+)의 결과를 도출했으나 안정성 지표와는 음(-)의 결과를 나타냈으며 연구개발 투자 규모의 확대가 해당 기업 보유 자금의 회전율에는 부정적인 영향을 미치는 결과를 도출했다. 기업의 차입금 의존도가 낮은 경우 연구개발 투자를 확대하는 것으로 나타났으며 반면에 연구개발 투자와 유보율 간에는 음(-)의 결과를 나타냈다. 기업의 규모가 클수록 연구개발 투자 규모는 높게 나타났으며 반면에 연구개발 집중도는 하락하는 것으로 나타났다. 일본의 수출규제 이후 국내 소재‧부품‧장비기업의 연구개발 투자 규모가 이전의 기간에 비해 유의하게 증가한 것으로 나타났다.

This study analyzed the effect of expanding R&D investment on the financial performance of domestic materials, components, and equipment companies. It was found that the expansion of R&D investment had a negative effect on profitability, but had a positive effect on gross sales profit. The R&D investment size and profitability resulted in a positive (+) result, but the stability index showed a negative (-) result, and the R&D investment size and expansion negatively affect the turnover rate of the company’s reserves. When a company’s dependence on borrowings was low, it was found that R&D investment was expanded, whereas the result between R&D investment and reserve ratio was negative (-). The larger the size of the company, the higher the size of R&D investment, while the R&D concentration decreased. After Japan’s export regulations, the size of R&D investment by domestic material, components, and equipment companies has increased significantly compared to the previous period.
