This study exploresthe caregiving experiences of ultra-short-term home care workers who fewer than 15 hours per week. Participants were recruited using purposive and snowball sampling methods, followed by interviews. The collected data were analyzed using a qualitative case study approach. The findings revealed that short-hour visiting care work for middle-aged women. Theanalysis working hours exacerbated job insecurity, failed to provide adequate wages, and compelled workers to care for multiple households. This situation can service quality and potential infringement on users’ rights. Additionally, short-hour visiting care workers unreasonable demands within hierarchical caregiving relationships to maintain their employment, and their professional identity suffered owing to a lack of social recognition. This study highlights the need for measures to ensure job stability and improve working conditions of short-hour visiting care workers.
