국내･외 시각장애 관련 음악 분야 연구 동향분석 (2014∼2023)

An Analysis of Domestic and International Research Trends in Music Related to Visual Impairment(2014~2023)

연구 목적: 이 연구는 2014년부터 2023년까지 국내 및 국외 학술지에 게재된 시각장애 관련 음악 분야 연구 연구의 동향을 고찰하고, 향후 시각장애 관련 음악 분야 연구에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 방법: 2014년부터 2023년까지 최근 10년 동안 발표된 시각장애와 관련된 음악 분야 연구 50편을 분석하였다. 분석 기준은 ‘학술지 및 발행연도’, ‘연구 방법’, ‘연구 참여자 연령대’, ‘시각장애 유형’, ‘연구 주제’로 설정하였다. 연구 결과: 첫째, 시각장애 관련 음악 분야 연구가 게재된 학술지는 총 22개이며, 그중 가장 많은 논문을 게재한 학술지는 ‘시각장애연구’로 11편(22.0%)에 해당한다. 둘째, 연구 방법으로는 질적연구가 13편(26.0%)으로 가장 많았으며 면담 연구, 생애사 연구, 자문화기술지 연구 등이 이루어 졌다. 셋째, 연구 참여자의 연령대는 성년이 27편(64.3%)으로 가장 많았으며, 학령기 10편(23.8%), 학령전기와 노년은 각 2편(4.8%)으로 나타났다. 넷째, 시각장애 유형에 따라 살펴보면 중복장애 유무, 장애 정도, 장애 발생 시기 등을 명시하지 않은 연구가 가장 많았다. 중복장애 유무를 명시하지 않은 연구는 16편(51.6%)으로 가장 많았다. 다섯째, 연구 주제로는 음악 교육에 관련된 연구가 20편(40.0%), 음악 중재에 대한 연구가 16편(32.0%), 공학 기술과 연주 경험에 대한 연구가 각 7편(14.0%)으로 나타났다. 결론: 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 향후 시각장애 관련 음악 분야 연구에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the research trends in music for individuals with visual impairments, as published in domestic and international journals from 2014 to 2023, and to provide foundational data necessary for future research in this field. Method: An analysis was conducted on 50 studies from the past decade. They were analyzed using the following criteria: publication year, research methodology, age range of participants, categories of visual impairment, and research topics. Results: The results are summarized as follows. First, a total of 50 studies were published, and 22.0% of the analyzed studies were published in ‘The Korean Journal of Visual Impairment’. Second, 26.0% of the studies employed qualitative research methods. Third, based on the age group analysis, 64.3% of the research participants were adults. Fourth, the most common issue was a lack of clarity regarding participants' multiple disabilities, degree of blindness, or age at the onset of vision loss. Fifth, regarding research topics, 40.0% of the studies focused on music education. Conclusion: Based on these results, implications for future research in music for individuals with visual impairments were discussed.
