청각장애인의 여가특성에 대한 해석학적 재구성: 의사소통적 접근을 중심으로

Hermeneutic Reconstruction of Leisure Characteristics of the Hearing Impaired: Focusing on a Communicative Approach

연구목적: 본 연구는 청각장애인의 여가활동에 대한 의미와 특성을 의사소통적 접근을 통해 살펴봄으로써 생활세계 내에서 여가활동을 하는데 어떤 어려움과 지원이 필요한지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구방법: 총 6명의 참여자를 눈덩이 표집방법(snowball sampling)을 통해 선정하고 심층인터뷰를 통해 자료를 수집하였으며 해석학적 방법으로 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과: 본 연구를 통해 여섯 가지의 주제가 도출되었으며, 첫째 같은 듯 같지 않은 여가활동, 둘째, 다수보다는 소수 그리고 다름보다는 동질성을 지닌 여가활동 선호, 셋째, 하고 싶지만 할 수 없는 여가활동과 스트레스, 넷째, 이중부담의 여가활동, 다섯째, 스스로 제한하는 여가활동, 마지막으로 스트레스 해소 통로로서의 여가활동의 특성을 보였다. 제언: 연구결과를 통해 여가활동 선택 자율성 확보, 청각장애인을 위한 여가활동 온라인 플랫폼 구축 및 시각중심의 프로그램 개발, 소통으로 인한 스트레스 해소를 위한 정서지원 체계 구축, 가족 및 친구 지원체계 확대, 여가활동 정보접근성 확대를 위한 시스템 구축 등을 제언하였다.

This study investigates the meaning and characteristics of leisure activities among individuals with hearing impairments using a communicative approach, aiming to identify the challenges they face and the support needed for their engagement. Six participants were recruited via snowball sampling, and data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed hermeneutically. The findings reveal six themes: (1) leisure activities that appear similar to others but differ in key aspects; (2) a preference for smaller, homogenous groups; (3) barriers that cause stress and frustration; (4) the dual burden of leisure life (5) self-imposed restrictions; and (6) the role of leisure in stress relief. The study recommends enhancing autonomy in leisure choices, creating an online platform for hearing-impaired individuals, developing visually-focused programs, establishing emotional support systems, expanding family and peer support, and improving access to leisure information.
