TCK(제3문화 아이들)에 대한 연구동향 분석 : 국내 학위 및 학술지를 중심으로

Analysis of Research Trends on TCK (Third Culture Children): Focusing on Domestic Degrees and Academic Journals

본 연구의 목적은 TCK(제3문화 아이들)에 대한 국내 학위 및 학술지 연구동향을 분석하고, 후속연구를 위한 방향성을 제언하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 2000년부터 2024년까지 게재된 논문 71편을 분석하였다, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2000년을 시작으로 2024년까지 연구가 꾸준하게 수행되었고, 2013년(9.85%)에 가장 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 국내 학회 23곳에서 발표되었으며 1편과 2편이었다. 셋째, 연구대상은 청소년의 비율이 가장 높았고 대학생, 기타(혼합), 아동, 성인 순이었다. 넷째, 연구방법 유형은 질적연구, 양적연구, 혼합연구 순으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 TCK에 대한 연구동향을 분석하고 후속연구를 위한 방향성을 제시하였다. 또한, TCK의 한국인 정체성을 파악하기 위한 기존의 이론과 민족정체성 모델을 살펴볼 수 있으며, 선행연구의 경향이 TCK에 대한 한국인의 정체성에 대한 정의 및 개념을 이해하는 데 활용될 수 있는 연구가 될 것이다. 즉, 본 연구결과를 토대로 세계화 시대에서의 TCK관련 국내 학위논문 및 학술지 연구동향을 분석하고 후속연구를 위한 방향성을 제안하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze domestic academic and academic journal research trends on TCKs (Third Culture Children) and to suggest directions for follow-up research. To this end, 71 papers published from 2000 to 2024 were analyzed. The results of the study are as follows. First, research was conducted steadily from 2000 to 2024, and was highest in 2013 (9.85%). Second, it was presented at 23 domestic academic societies, and was generally 1 to 2 papers. Third, the proportion of adolescents was the highest among the research subjects, followed by college students, others (mixed), children, and adults. Fourth, the types of research methods were qualitative research, quantitative research, and mixed research in that order. Based on the results of the study, the research trends on TCKs were analyzed and directions for follow-up research were suggested. In addition, in order to properly understand the Korean identity of TCKs, we can examine existing theories and models of national identity, and this study will be able to utilize the trends of previous studies to understand the definition and concept of Korean identity for TCKs. In other words, based on the results of this study, we will analyze the research trends of domestic theses and academic journals related to TCKs in the era of globalization and propose directions for follow-up research.
