대학생 대상 감성지능을 활용한 교양교과목 운영의 효과

Effects of Operating a Liberal Arts Course using Emotional Intelligence for College Students

본 연구의 목적은 대학생을 대상으로 감성지능 기반 교양교과목의 효과성을 분석하는 것이다. 연구대상은 충청북도에 소재한 S대학교 재학중인 학생으로 24학년도 1학기「관계와 소통」교양선택 수업을 수강한 대학생 20명이다. 해당 교과는 대인관계능력 향상을 위해 감성지능을 기반으로 자기감성이해, 타인감성이해, 감정활용과 조절로 구성되었고, 정서·체험형 교과로 2시간 정규수업으로 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 1주차에 요구조사, 2주차와 15주차에 사전-사후 설문이 이루어졌고, 분석은 SPSS 25.0을 이용하여 T-test로 분석하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 요구조사 분석 결과 소통기술 필요성을 나타내 교과목 설계가 잘 이루어진 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 효과성 분석 결과 자기감성 이해, 타인감성 이해, 감성활용, 학생-학생 관계, 자기효능감, 감정조절이 유의하게 향상되어 감성지능 기반 교양교과목의 효과를 나타냈다. 본 연구를 통해 대학 교양교과목은 학문과 학습자의 요구, 교수자-학습자의 수평적 관계, 교과의 특성에 맞는 평가가 이루어질 필요성을 나타냈다. 향후 대학 교양교과목에서 감성지능을 적용한 다양한 연구가 이루어지기를 제언한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of emotional intelligence-based liberal arts subjects for college students. The subjects of the study were 20 college students attending S University located in Chungcheongbuk-do who took the liberal arts elective class “Relationships and Communication” in the first semester of the 24th year. Analysis was done with T-test using SPSS 25.0. Looking at the research results, as a result of the effectiveness analysis, understanding of one's own emotions, understanding of others' emotions, use of emotions, student-student relationship, self-efficacy, and emotion regulation were significantly improved, indicating the effectiveness of an emotional intelligence-based liberal arts subject. This study showed that university liberal arts courses need to be evaluated in accordance with the needs of the students, the horizontal relationship between the instructor and the students, and the characteristics of the course. It is suggested that various studies be conducted in the future on the application of emotional intelligence in university liberal arts courses.
