가족확대기 이민 1세대 부부를 위한 부부관계증진 프로그램 개발을 위한 요구도 조사

A Study on the Needs of 1st Generation Korean Immigrant Couples During Family Expansion for an Online Marriage Enrichment Program

본 연구는 가족확대기 한인 이민 1세대 부부와 관련 전문 상담사들을 대상으로, 부부관계증진 프로그램 개발을 위한 요구도를 분석하여 그 시사점을 확인하는데 있다. 이를 위해, 가족확대기 이민 1세대부부들에게는 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였고, 관련 전문 상담사들에게는 개별 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 조사 결과, 연구에 참여한 부부와 전문 상담사 전체가 프로그램의 필요성이 있다고 답하였고 프로그램의 내용 구성에 있어 부부관계에서 가장 중요한 요소로 부정적인 의사소통, 원가족의 영향, 그리고 양육스트레스를 꼽았다. 또한, 응답자의 93%가 온라인 프로그램 참여를 희망했으며, 프로그램은 120분씩 평일 1회, 주말 1회로 총 6회기, 3주 동안 진행되는 집단상담 형태의 강의와 실습을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 전문 상담사들은 구조적인 대화법 제공, 가족체계 이해, 부정적 대화 패턴 인식, 부부 간 차이 탐색, 욕구와 감정을 표현하는 안전한 소통 경험의 중요성을 강조했다. 특히 이민 1세대 부부관계의 어려움이 환경적인 요인보다는 관계의 상호작용에서 기인하고 있음을 확인할 수 있어 이에 대한 접근이 필요함을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 후속 연구에 대한 제언과 시사점을 논의하였다.

This study examined the needs of first-generation Korean immigrant couples in the family expansion stage, along with insights from professional counselors, to develop a marriage enrichment program. An online survey was conducted with couples, and individual interviews were held with counselors. Results showed consensus on the program’s necessity, with key content areas identified as negative communication, family-of-origin influences, and parenting stress. Participants preferred an onlinge group counseling format, consisting of six 120-minute sessions held over three weeks, scheduled on both weekdays and weekends. Counselors highlighted the importance of structured dialogue thechniques, understanding family systems, recognizing negative communication patterns, exploring partner differences, and creating safe spaces for expressing needs and emotions. The study revealed that relationship challenges for these couples stem more frin realtinal interactions than enveirnmental factor, underscorung the need for realtionship-focused approaches. Based on these findeings, suggestions for future reseach and practical applications are discussed.
