한국 전래동화의 활용 및 교사 인식에 관한 연구

A Study of the Korean Fairy Tales Using and Early Childhood Teacher's Recognition

본 연구의 목적은 유치원에서 한국 전래동화를 어떻게 활용하고 있으며, 교사들이 한국 전래동화에 대하여 어떻게 인식하고 있는지에 대해 알아보는데 있다. 연구방법은 유치원 교사 212명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 한국 전래동화의 활용이 제대로 되지 않고 있었으며, 특정 주제와 연결하여 제한적으로 활용되거나, 전래동화에 대한 지식이 부족하여 동화 선정이나 교육, 문학 등과 관련된 다양한 경험을 제공하는데 어려움이 있었다. 교사들은 한국 전래동화가 교육적·문학적 가치와 더불어 전통문화 교육과 한국적 정서 및 가치관 형성을 위해 활용될 수 있다고 인식하였다. 이러한 교사 인식과는 달리 전래동화에 대한 지식과 다양한 전래동화가 부족하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 기초로 하여, 한국 전래동화에 대한 학문적 연구와 다양한 전래동화의 활용에 대한 연구의 필요성을 제언하였다.

This study is the survey on the present situation of using korean fairy tales and teacher`s recognition. The study subjects were 212 kindergarten teachers on a national scale, and the study was the survey that the questionnaire was used. The finding in this study are as follows: 1. Korean fairy tales was not used sufficiently in kindergarten and teachers have a difficulty in giving a various experience with an educational and literary value because we don`t have the knowledge about korean fairy tales or it is used limitedly according to special subject. 2. Early childhood teachers have recognized that the Korean fairy tales can be used the most valuable for children`s education of traditional culture and sentiments of the korean. Also they have recognized that we haven`t knew enough korean fairy tale to be suitable for children.
