글 없는 그림책의 철학적 함의 : 호모 이마고에 대한 탐색적 고찰

Philosophical Implications of Textless Picture Books in the Age of Digital Images : Focusing on Exploratory Considerations on Homo Imago

본 연구는 ‘이미지로 생각할 수 있는 인간’인 ‘호모 이마고(Homo Imago)’에 대한 탐색적 고찰을 중심으로 디지털 이미지 시대에 글 없는 그림책(Wordless Picture Book)의 철학적 함의를 살펴보는 데 본 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 Ⅱ장에서는 ‘이미지(Image)’의 어원을 중심으로 그 개념을 고찰하고자 하였으며, Ⅲ장에서는 시각 이론과 매체에 따른 인간의 지각방식에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 호모 이마고(Homo Imago)에 대한 탐색적 고찰이 이루어졌다. 이후, Ⅳ장에서는 호모 이마고(Homo Imago)에 관한 고찰의 내용을 중심으로 디지털 이미지 시대에 글 없는 그림책(Wordless Picture Book)이 갖는 철학적 함의는 어떠한지 살펴보고자 하였다. 마지막으로 Ⅴ장에서는 글 없는 그림책이 갖는 철학적 함의를 중심으로 유아문학교육에서 글 없는 그림책(Wordless Picture Book)은 어떻게 볼 것인지에 관한 방향성을 모색하고자 하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 디지털 이미지 시대의 글 없는 그림책(Wordless Picture Book)이 갖는 철학적 함의를 살펴봄으로써, 미래에 유아문학교육의 방향성을 재고(再考)하기 위한 철학적인 논의의 장을 마련하는 데 연구의 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the philosophical implications of wordless picture books in the era of digital images, focusing on an exploratory study on ‘Homo Imago,’ a ‘human who can think in images.’ To this end, Chapter II tried to examine the concept focusing on the etymology of ‘Image,’ and Chapter III the understanding of human perception according to visual theory and media After an exploratory study on Homo Imago, Chapter IV focused on the contents of the review on Homo Imago to examine the philosophical implications of Wordless Picture Books in the digital image era. Finally, in Chapter V, focusing on the philosophical implications of picture books without text, we tried to explore the direction of how to view wordless picture books in early childhood literature education. By examining the philosophical implications of wordless picture books, the study is meaningful in providing a philosophical forum for rethinking the direction of early childhood literature education in the future.
