영유아자녀 성교육을 위한 부모교육 프로그램 개발 : 그림책을 중심으로

Development of a Parent Education Program for Sex Education of Infants and Toddler Children: Focusing on Picture Books

본 연구는 그림책을 중심으로 영유아자녀 성교육을 위한 부모교육 프로그램을 개발하는 목적을 지닌다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 어린이집 교사 52명과 부모 155명의 인식 및 실태, 영유아 성행동 및 성교육 프로그램에 관련된 선행연구, 파일럿 테스트(pilot test)를 통해 교육목표, 학습경험 선정, 학습경험 조직, 학습성과 평가를 구성하여 10인의 전문가에게 내용타당도를 검증받아 영유아자녀 성교육을 위한 부모교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 연구 결과 프로그램의 목적은 ‘영유아자녀 성교육을 위한 부모역량 증진’, 목표는 ‘영유아 발달과정 및 성행동 특성에 관해 설명하고, 성질문, 성일반행동, 성문제행동과 성행동 대처 방법에 대해 말할 수 있으며, 성교육 내용에 관해 설명할 수 있다’이다. 학습경험 선정은 성에 대한 이해, 성행동 대처법, 성교육 방법으로 구성하고 학습경험 조직은 계속성, 계열성, 통합성 및 파일럿 테스트를 통해 조직하였다. 학습성과는 부모와 교수자로 나누어 평가한다. 본 연구는 부모가 영유아자녀의 성에 대한 이해를 기반으로 성교육을 실시할 수 있도록 구체적인 방향을 제시해 주었다는 데 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to develop a parent education program for sex education of infants and toddler children with a focus on picture books. Therefore, in this study, the perceptions and status of 52 daycare center teachers and 155 parents’, prior studies related to sexual behavior and sex education programs of infants and toddler children, and pilot tests were used to construct educational goals, learning experience selection, learning experience organization, and learning outcome evaluation. The content validity was verified by 10 experts, and based on this, a parent education program was developed for sex education for infants and toddler children. As a result of the study, the purpose of the program is to improve parental competency for sexual education for infants and toddler children, and the goal is to explain the development process and sexual behaviors characteristics of infants and toddler children, to talk about sexual questions, general sexual behavior, sexual problem behavior and sexual behavior coping methods, and to explain the contents of sexual education. The selection of learning experiences was composed of understanding sex, coping with sexual behaviors, and sex education, and the organization of learning experiences was organized through continuity, sequence, integrity, and pilot tests. Learning outcomes were evaluated separately by parent and teachers. This study is meaningful in that it has suggested specific directions for parents to conduct sex education based on their understanding of the sex of infants and toddler children.
