이기훈의 〈욕망 삼부작〉에 나타난 자연 소외

Natural Alienation in Lee Ki-hun’s Picturebooks, 〈Desire Trilogy〉

문학작품 속의 자연은 작가가 만들어 낸 하나의 비유이기에 사회적 가치가 투영되지 않은 순수한 자연 그 자체로 존재하기 힘들다. 현대 사회에서 자연에서 멀어지는 삶으로 인해 피해를 입는 아이들이 보는 그림책에서 사용된 자연의 표현방식을 비판적으로 볼 필요가 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 이기훈의 〈욕망 삼부작〉을 비평 대상으로 하여 그림책 속에 나타난 자연 소외의 모습을 제시하는 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 이견실(2010)의 자연 소외 양상이 분석의 범주로서 사용되었으며, 해석학적 분석을 통해 그림책을 시간적, 인과적 시퀀스로 나누어 분석하였다. 이를 통해 이기훈의 〈욕망 삼부작〉에서 자연 소외는 어떻게 형상화되고 있는지 살펴보았으며, 자연에 대한 현실의 관념과 그림책 속에서의 반영이 논의되었다. 본 연구는 독자와 자연의 관계를 재설정하고 그림책 속의 자연을 새롭게 보는 관점을 제시했다는 점에서 그 의의를 발견할 수 있으며 더 나아가 어린 독자에게 생태학적 대안을 모색하는 동시에 문학 본연의 기능을 추구할 수 있는 그림책이 필요함을 시사한다.

Nature in literature is a metaphor created by the artist, so it is difficult to exist as pure nature itself without social values being projected. In modern society, it is necessary to critically look at the way nature is expressed in picture books seen by children who are harmed by a life of nature deficit. The purpose of this study was to present the appearanc of natural alienation in picture books by criticizing Lee Ki-hun's <Desire Trilogy>. For this study, the natural alienation pattern of Lee Gyun-sil (2010) was used as a category of analysis, and picture books were analyzed by dividing them into temporal and causal sequences through analytical analysis. The results show that Lee Ki-hun's <Desire Trilogy> examined how natural alienation was embodied, and the concept of reality about nature and refle tion in the picture books was discussed. This study has its significanc in that it resets the relationship between the reader and nature and presents a new perspective on nature in picture books. Furthermore, this study suggests that picture books that pursue the original function of literature while seeking e ological alternatives for young readers is necessary.
