고등학교 진로전담교사가 지각한 학교 관리자의 진로교육에 대한 인식 및 지원과 진로전담교사의 직무 수행의 관계에서 담임교사와의 연계의 매개효과

The Mediating Effect of Cooperation between Homeroom Teachers and Career Teachers in the Relationship between School Administrators' Perception of the Importance of Career Education, School Administrators' Support for Career Education and Job Performance of Career Teachers in High School

본 연구는 고등학교 진로전담교사가 지각한 진로교육의 중요성에 대한 학교 관리자의 인식과 학교 관리자의 진로교육 지원이 진로전담교사의 직무 수행에 미치는 영향에서 진로전담교사와 담임교사와의 연계의 매개효과를 규명하고자 하였으며, 이를 위해 초‧중등 진로교육 현황조사(2023) 자료를 활용하여 각 변인 간 관계를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 모든 변인 간에 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났으며, 고등학교 진로전담교사의 직무 수행에 있어 다른 변인보다 진로전담교사와 담임교사와의 연계 간 상관도가 가장 높았다. 둘째, 고등학교 진로전담교사가 지각한 진로교육의 중요성에 대한 학교 관리자의 인식과 진로전담교사의 직무 수행 간 영향 관계와 학교 관리자의 진로교육 지원과 진로전담교사의 직무 수행 간 영향 관계 모두에서 진로전담교사와 담임교사와의 연계가 완전 매개한 것으로 나타나 진로전담교사의 직무 수행에 대해 학교 관리자 관련 변인의 직접 효과보다 담임교사와의 연계를 통한 간접 효과가 더 크다는 것이 확인되었다. 연구 결과를 토대로 고교학점제의 효과적인 운영을 위해 학교 구성원 간 협력 체계를 구축하여 진로전담교사의 직무 수행 수준을 향상시키기 위한 시사점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of the cooperation between homeroom teachers and career teachers on the relationship between school administrators' perception of the importance of career education, school administrators' support for career education perceived by the high school career teachers and the job performance of career teachers in high school. To this end, the relationship between each variable was analyzed using data from the Elementary and Secondary Career Education Status Survey(2023). The main findings were as follows. First, there was a significant positive correlation between all the variables, and the correlation between the cooperation between homeroom teachers and career teachers and the job performance of the high school career teachers was higher than other variables. Second, the cooperation between homeroom teachers and career teachers completely mediated in both the relationship between school administrators' perception of the importance of career education and the job performance of career teachers in high school, and the relationship between school administrators' support for career education and the job performance of career teachers in high school, and it was confirmed that the indirect effect through the cooperation between homeroom teachers and career teachers on the job performance of the high school teachers was greater than the direct effect of the school administrator-related variables. Based on the findings of this study, implications for improving the job performance of career teachers and suggestions for follow-up research were presented by establishing a cooperative system among school members for the effective operation of High School Credit System.
