내적 심상의 은유적 풍경 작업을 통한 감정 소통 경험에 대한 자전적 내러티브 탐구

An Autobiographical Narrative Inquiry of Emotional Communication Experiences through Metaphorical Landscape as an Expression of Inner Imagery

본 연구는 내적 심상의 표현으로서 은유적 풍경 작업을 통한 감정 소통 경험과 의미를 자전적 내러티브 탐구를 통해 분석한 연구이다. ‘나’는 미술치료학 박사수료생으로 미술대학에서 서양화를 전공하였다. 동 대학원에서 서양화과를 전공하였고 작업의 주제는 인간의 내면과 감정이 만들어내는 풍경이었으며, 이를 ‘은유적 풍경’이라 이름 짓고 석사 논문을 통해 자세히 기술하고 정리하였다. 이후 미술치료학 전공으로 박사과정에 진학한 후, 현장실습을 통해 다양한 배경을 가진 내담자들의 마음의 이미지를 접할 수 있었다. 박사과정을 수료하고 다시 미술치료와 병행하며 작업을 하고자 준비하는 단계에서 들여다본 석사 논문에서 감정을 다루는 예술가의 시점 및 위치 변화를 인식하게 되었다. 이것을 중심으로 은유적 풍경 작업의 경험을 드러내고 그 의미를 파악하고자 3차원적 내러티브 탐구 공간을 복합적으로 분석하였고, ‘감정을 꺼내는 예술가’, ‘감정과 나란히 서 있는 예술가’, ‘감정을 가로질러 나아가는 예술가’라는 세 개의 주제를 도출하였다. 본 연구는 예술을 통한 자기 심상의 은유적 표현 경험을 분석함으로써 예술이 가진 표현성과 공감과 소통의 장으로서의 기능에 대한 근본적 질문을 던지고자 하였다.

This study analyzes the experience and meaning of emotional communication through metaphorical landscape work as an expression of inner images through autobiographical narrative inquiry. I’m PhD candidate in art therapy, and majored in painting at university and graduate school. The subject of my work was a landscape of human inner and emotions, which was named 'a metaphorical landscape', and was described and organized in detail through a master's thesis. In my master's thesis, which I looked into at after completing my doctoral course and preparing to work in parallel with art therapy again, I came to recognize the change in perspective and position of an artist dealing with emotions. In order to reveal the experience of metaphorical landscape work and grasp its meaning, three themes were derived: 'artist who brings out emotions', 'artist standing side by side with emotions', and 'artist who crosses emotions'. By analyzing the experience of metaphorical expression of self-image through art, this study attempted to raise fundamental questions about the expressiveness of art and its function as a place of empathy and communication.
