다문화적 결합체에서의 풍류문화의 관계성 -유기체적 관점에서-

The Relatedness of Pungryu Culture in Multicultural Nexus -from an Organic Point of View-

본 연구는 다양한 민족적, 언어적, 문화적 탈영토화가 가속화되고 있는 현대 다문화 사회에서 갈수록 심화되고 있는 민족적, 문화적 소통의 부재뿐만 아니라 차별과 불평등의 문제에 대해 한국 풍류문화의 관계성을 제시하려는 목적을 지닌다. 본고는 첫째, 다문화적 삶에서 소통의 부재, 소수 민족과 소수 문화에 대한 불평등과 차별 등의 원인이 서구 실체(substance)철학에 바탕을 둔 다문화주의에 대한 인식적 오류에서 출발하고 있음을 살펴보았다. 둘째, 풍류문화가 기존의 서구식 다문화주의의 인식과 사유를 전환 시킬 수 있는 유용한 도구가 될 수 있음은 풍류문화가 화이트헤드(A. N. Whitehead)의 결합체(nexus)적 속성과 불교의 연기(緣起)성의 존재론적인 유기체(organism)적 특성을 공유하고 있기 때문임을 제시하였다. 셋째, 풍류의 문화적 양태들인 예술문화와 행동문화에서 나타나는 포함삼교(包含三敎)와 접화군생(接化群生)의 특성을 살펴봄으로써, 풍류문화가 불변하는 창 닫힌 모나드(monad)가 아니라 상호 내재하는 관계성으로 다문화 사회에서 존재의 의미를 생성해 갈 수 있는 유기체적 관계성을 지닌 문화임을 보여주었다. 이러한 세 가지 측면에서 풍류문화의 유기체적 관계성이 문화상대주의를 바탕으로 한 다문화 사회의 삶 속에서 공생 가능한 다문화적 결합체를 생성시킬 수 있음을 제시하였다.

This study aims to explore the relatedness of Korean Pungryu culture in addressing issues of discrimination, inequality, and the growing lack of ethnic and cultural communication in contemporary multicultural societies, where ethnic, linguistic, and cultural deterritorialization is accelerating. First, this paper identifies the cognitive errors inherent in multiculturalism rooted in Western substance philosophy as a key factor underlying the lack of communication in multicultural life and the inequality and discrimination faced by minority cultures. Second, it argues that Pungryu culture offers a valuable tool for transforming the perception and thought patterns of Western multiculturalism due to its shared ontological organic characteristics with Whitehead's concept of ‘nexus’ and the Buddhist principle of ‘연기’(Pratityasamutpāda). Third, by examining the characteristics of '포함삼교'(Pohamsamgyo) and ’접화군생'(Chophwagoonsaeng) manifested in the artistic and behavioral modalities of Pungryu culture, this study demonstrates that Pungryu culture is not an immutable, windowless monad but a dynamic culture of organic relationships that generates the meaning of existence through mutually immanent connections. These findings suggest that the organic relationality of Pungryu culture has the potential to foster a symbiotic multicultural nexus in multicultural societies, grounded in cultural relativism. can generate a symbiotic multicultural nexus in the life of a multicultural society based on cultural relativism.
