Direction of future music education from the perspective of coexistence and harmony with machines

This study explores the rapidly evolving paradigm of music education in the post-human era and aims to propose a new direction for music education that focuses on the harmonious coexistence of machines and humans. In particular, it analyzes the impact of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR) on music education and examines how these technologies can create educational synergies. To achieve this, a comprehensive approach was employed, including literature review, case analysis, and critical analysis, leading to the following findings. The 2022 revised music curriculum emphasizes digital literacy and creative thinking skills, designed to enable students to use technology to enhance their musical experiences. Additionally, advanced technologies like AI-based composition tools and virtual reality support learners in maximizing their musical sensitivity and creativity through immersive learning experiences. Based on these findings, this study suggests that the future direction of music education should integrate technology not merely as a tool but as a means to amplify creativity and emotional engagement. It calls for educational strategies that foster the ethical and critical use of digital technologies, aiming for a harmonious coexistence of technology and humanity. This approach will significantly contribute to shaping future music education that seamlessly blends technology with creativity to achieve sustainable development.

본 연구는 포스트휴먼 시대의 도래와 함께 급격히 변화하는 음악 교육의 패러다임을 탐구하고, 기계와 인간의 조화로운 공존을 목표로 하는 새로운 음악 교육의 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 특히, 인공지능(AI), 가상 현실(VR), 증강 현실(AR) 등 첨단 기술이 음악 교육에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이러한 기술들이 교육적 시너지를 창출하는 방식에 주목하였다. 이를 위해 문헌 연구, 사례 분석, 비판적 분석을 실시하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 2022 개정 음악 교육과정은 디지털 리터러시와 창의적 사고 역량을 강조하며, 학생들이 기술을 활용하여 더 나은 음악적 경험을 창출할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 또한, AI 기반 작곡 도구와 가상 현실 같은 첨단 기술은 학습자들이 몰입형 학습 경험을 통해 음악적 감성과 창의성을 극대화할 수 있도록 돕고 있다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로, 음악 교육의 미래 방향은 기술을 단순한 도구로 사용하는 것이 아니라 창의성과 감성을 극대화하는 도구로 통합할 필요가 있음을 제안한다. 기술과 인간의 조화로운 공존을 목표로, 학생들이 윤리적이고 비판적인 사고를 바탕으로 디지털 기술을 책임감 있게 활용할 수 있는 교육적 전략이 필요하다. 이러한 접근은 미래의 음악 교육이 기술과 창의성을 조화롭게 활용하여 지속 가능한 발전을 이루는 데 중요한 기여를 할 것이다.
