놀이중심 교육과정에서 겪는 유아반 보육교사의 어려움과 노력

Difficulties and efforts of childcare teachers in a childhood class in a play-centered curriculum

본 연구는 2019 개정 누리과정인 놀이중심 교육과정을 운영하며 겪게 되는 유아반 보육교사의 어려움과 노력에 대해 알아보기 위해 질적 연구방법으로 수행되었다. D 광역시 A 직장 어린이집에서 근무하고 있는 10명의 유아반 보육교사를 연구 참여자로 선정하여, 2021년 3월부터 약 6개월 동안 연구가 수행되었다. 보육교사들의 개별면담과 연구자, 연구 참여자의 저널쓰기와 전화, SNS 등을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 첫째, 보육교사들이 경험한 어려움으로는 안전에 대한 우려, 개별적인 차이, 한 가지 놀이만 하는 유아, 교사의 고정관념, 놀이 지원에서의 지연됨, 행사로 인한 놀이 시간 부족, 부모들의 인식 부족 등이 나타났고, 둘째, 보육교사의 노력으로는 안전한 공간 마련, 동료교사와의 교류, 유아의 의견 수용, 관련 서적 참고, 놀이 자료의 사전 준비, 교사의 긍정적인 마인드 등이 나타났다. 본 연구는 놀이중심 교육과정을 실행하는 데 있어서 많은 어려움을 겪고 있는 보육교사들에게 다양한 교육 및 자료의 지원이 필요함을 시사한다.

This study was carried out as a qualitative research method to determine the difficulties and efforts of childcare teachers in carrying out the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum, a play-centered curriculum. Ten childcare teachers working at workplace A daycare in Metropolitan City D were selected as research participants, and the study was conducted for about six months from March 2021. Data were collected by individual interviews with childcare teachers, researchers and research participants' journal writing, telephone calls, and SNS. As a result of this study, first, the difficulties experienced by childcare teachers were safety concerns, individual differences, infants who only play one game, teachers' stereotypes, delays in play support, lack of play time due to events, and parents' lack of awareness Second, childcare teachers' efforts included preparing a safe space, interacting with fellow teachers, accepting children's opinions, referring to related books, preparing play materials in advance, and teachers' positive mind. This study suggests that childcare teachers who are experiencing many difficulties in implementing a play-centered curriculum need various education and support materials.
