유아교사의 놀이기록 수행 실태

Status of early childhood teachers’ play documentation

본 연구는 개정 누리과정에서 강조하는 유아․놀이중심 교육과정이 잘 운영되기 위한 교사의 놀이기록이 현장에서 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지 그 수행 실태를 점검하고자 실시하였다. 현직 유아교사 165명이 설문지에 응답하는 방식으로 연구에 참여하였고, 수집된 결과는 자료유형에 따라 정량 자료는 SPSS 통계 프로그램을 활용해 빈도분석을 하였고, 정성 자료는 개방코딩을 통해 범주를 구성하며 지속적 비교분석을 통해 내용분석을 하였다. 연구결과, 현장에서의 놀이기록 수행 실태와 그 의미를 놀이기록의 방법과 내용, 활용, 긍정적 측면, 어려움, 요구 측면에서 분석하였다. 구체적으로 현장에서의 놀이기록 실태의 일반적 경향은 본래 취지인 놀이를 다각적으로 이해하고 지원하기 위해 수행되기보다는 결과물을 보이기 위한 것에 중점을 두어 행해지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 이러한 실태의 의미를 살펴본 결과, 교사들은 교육적 신념과의 갈등을 겪고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이에 따라 놀이기록 본래 취지가 효과적으로 실행되기 위한 다양한 지원 마련이 필요함을 제언할 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to check the status of how play documentation is being conducted in the field for the well-operated child-centered and play-centered curriculum emphasized in the revised Nuri curriculum. For this study, 165 in-service early childhood teachers participated in this study by answering a questionnaire. The collected data were divided into quantitative data and qualitative data. In the case of the quantitative data, frequency analysis was performed using the SPSS 23.0 statistical program. In the case of the qualitative data, categories were formed through open coding and content analysis was conducted through the constant comparative method. As a result of this study, the status and meaning of play documentation in the field were analyzed in terms of the method, content, utilization, positive aspect, difficulty, and demand of play documentation. Specifically, it was conducted with an emphasis on showing results different from the original purpose of the play documentation to understand and support play. It was found that teachers were experiencing conflicts with educational beliefs. Accordingly, the results suggest that it is necessary to prepare a support plan for effective operation so that the original purpose of play documentation can be realized.
