그림책중심 아동문학 수업과정에서 도출된 예비유아교사의 문학교육에 대한 인식변화

Pre-service Teachers' Understanding of Literature Education: Analysis of Reflection Journals Collected from Their 'Children's Literature' Class

본 연구는 그림책을 중심으로 한 아동문학 수업과정에서 도출된 예비유아교사의 유아문학교육에 관한 인식의 변화를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 D, S 지역에 위치한 대학교의 예비유아교사 110명이 아동문학 수업에 참여하면서 작성한 반성적 저널을 지속적인 비교분석법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 예비유아교사들은 본 연구의 아동문학 수업에 참여하면서 상상하고 즐길 수 있는 대상이 되는 문학작품 자체로서의 의미를 가지는 존재로 문학을 인식하게 되었고 특히 그림책에 대하여 보다 깊이 있는 이해를 하게 되었다. 둘째, 예비유아교사들은 유아들의 문학적인 성향과 태도, 그리고 능력을 계발시키는 것을 목표로 하여 이루어지는 유아문학교육이 바람직하다고 인식하게 되었다. 셋째, 유아의 문학적 능력과 태도를 형성시키는데 도움이 되는 수준 높은 문학교육을 실시하기 위해서는 교사의 역할이 매우 중요하다는 사실을 인식하게 되었다.

The objective of this study was to investigate the change in early childhood pre-service teachers' understanding of literature education by analyzing the reflection journals collected from their Children's Literature class. The subjects in this study were 110 pre-service teachers in the field of early child education in D, S region, South Korea. To analyze the change in their understanding of literature education, their reflection journals were collected and analyzed in terms of their views on literature, literature education, and the teachers' role. The results were as follows: First, pre-service teachers were able to simply appreciate the children's literature rather than having to analyze the literature. They were able to do so by learning about the authors' personal histories and the process of writing the children's literature, and being able to relate to the children's literature by reflecting on their own past. Second, the pre-service teachers came to believe that Literature Education for Young Children that focuses on helping children to form positive attitudes toward literature and developing their ability to appreciate and criticize the literature, and the ability to create their own stories is needed. Third, the pre-service teachers came to understand the importance of teachers' role in a quality Literature Education for Young Children.
