음악동화 그림책을 활용한 유아 음악 감상활동이 유아의 음악성 및 음악적 태도에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Music Appreciation Activities based on Storybooks upon Young Children's Musicality and Musical Attitude

본 연구는 음악동화 그림책을 활용한 유아 음악 감상활동이 유아의 음악성 및 음악적 태도에 미치는 영향을 밝히는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구 목적을 위해 서울에 위치한 유치원에 재원중인 만 4세 유아 49명을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 실험집단에게는 음악동화 그림책을 활용한 유아 음악 감상활동을, 비교집단에게는 그림책 없이 일반적 음악 감상활동을 8주간 주 3회씩 총 24번 실시하였다. 연구 결과 실험집단 유아들의 사후 음악성 및 음악적 태도 검사 점수가 비교집단 유아들의 사후 음악성 및 음악적 태도 점수보다 통계적으로 유의미한 수준에서 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 유아 음악 감상교육에 있어 음악동화 그림책을 적극적으로 활용할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of music appreciation activities based on storybooks on young children's musicality and musical attitude. The participants were 49 four-years old children at two kindergartens in Seoul and they were assigned into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group carried out music appreciation activities based on 18 storybooks, whereas the control group carried out music appreciation activities. The results showed that the post-test scores of the experimental groups were much higher than those of the control group both in musicality and musical attitude and the differences were statistically significant. The findings suggest that music education based on story books is an effective instruction method for improving young children's musicality and musical attitude.
