한국 애니매이션 “마당을 나온 암탉”에서 찾은 생태적 인식 및 유아교육적 의미 탐색

Exploration of Childhood Educational Meaning and Ecological Perception Found in “LEAFIE, A Hen into the Wild", a Korean Animation

<마당을 나온 암탉>은 한국 애니메이션 사상 최초로 200만 관객을 돌파하고 중국에 개봉되었다는 점에서 크게 주목받은 애니메이션이다. 탄탄한 스토리와 아름다운 영상으로 아이뿐만 아니라 어른들에게도 웃음과 감동을 주었다는 점이 영화를 관람한 관객이나 평론가들로부터 높은 평가를 받고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 <마당을 나온 암탉>이라는 애니메이션의 스토리와 영상 및 그에 대한 반응을 분석하여 자연과 인간의 삶의 한 단면을 보여주는 생태적 요소를 찾아보고 그 속에서 유아교육적 의미를 탐색해보고자 하였다. 분석결과, <마당을 나온 암탉>에는 생명에 대한 사랑, 다양한 생명에 대한 이해, 생명들 간의 얽힘, 자연의 순환적 섭리 등이 있다는 점에서 영성, 다양성, 관계성, 순환성에 대한 생태적 인식이 바탕이 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 생태적 인식의 바탕 하에 육아에서 가장 중요한 것은 부모의 사랑이며, 부모의 사랑은 받기 위해 주는 것이 아니며, 한 아이가 잘 자라려면 부모뿐 아니라 여러 사람과 자연이 필요하다는 것을 깨닫게 해 준다는 점에서 유아교육적 의미가 크다고 본다. <마당을 나온 암탉>에 대한 관객들의 반응은 모성이나 자녀교육에 대한 우리 사회의 인식의 한 단면이라는 점에서 유아교육에서 주목해볼 만하다고 생각한다.

“LEAFIE, A Hen into the Wild" draws great attention because the animation attracted more than 2 million viewers firstly in Korea, and then was released in China. In addition, the animation has been acclaimed by reviewers as well as audiences in that it makes not only children but also adults be excited and moved with solid story line and beautiful image. Therefore, this study is intended to find out ecological elements which show a life of nature and human being and explore meaning of childhood education by analyzing responses to story and image of the animation called “LEAFIE, A Hen into the Wild”. According to the analysis result, “LEAFIE, A Hen into the Wild" is based on ecological perception about spirituality, diversity, relationship and circulation because it encompasses love toward life, understanding of various lives, complexity among lives and circulation of nature. The most important factor in childcare based on the ecological perception is parental love. Childhood education is meaningful because parental love is not conditional and bringing up a child well requires many people’s good care and nature. Good feedback on “LEAFIE, A Hen into the Wild" shows our society in terms of motherhood and children’s education, so it requires that we consider childhood education carefully.
